You're back in New York after being undercover.
Deciding to go back to New York as a detective and working at the 99 seemed like the best decision as your friend Amy already worked there.
But, will you...
It was 6:30 on a Thursday and you had 45 minutes before you needed to pick Rosa up. You were quite excited that she'd asked you to pick her up because it meant you finally got to see where she lived and finally get to show off your car. It was a classic 1968 Mustang Fastback in black with white racing stripes. You hated to admit it, but youactually got it from a police impound lot. It belonged to the first criminal you ever arrested, and he had to give it up to pay for part of his bail. It was a reminder of where you started and how far you'd come.

Whilst you were quite childish with your personality and jokes your fashion sense was one of the few things you did take seriously. Well, most of the time at least. The scooby doo converse by your door told a different story.
Fully dressed and make-up ready you realised you still had 10 minutes before you needed to go and pick up Rosa. You could slowly feel the nerves creep up on you. Rosa was everything you wanted and messing up this date could mean that it all could end. Why did your nerves always ruin everything?
Checking your phone, you realised that your panicking had taken up whatever spare time you had left, and you now needed to leave. You grabbed your keys and headed out to go pick up Rosa. Your car engine roared into life and you sped off to the address she had given you. Looking at the passenger seat you were reminded of the bouquet of flowers you had bought her earlier today. The dusky pink petals contrasted your car's black leather seats as you checked to make sure the flowers were still okay. You knew she had a tough exterior and would pretend to hate them but deep down the gesture would be appreciated.
It took 15 minutes to get to Rosa's apartment despite google maps saying only 10. This meant you would have to sprint up the stairs to get to her apartment on time. You rushed through the entrance before smiling at your saviour. A lift. Maybe you would just be able to make it on time. You clicked the button for the seventh floor and prayed to god the lift wouldn't break down.
The soft instrumental music from the elevator was surprisingly calming as the lift travelled up to Rosa's floor. As the doors glided open you looked for apartment 702. Looking left and right and beginning to panic you stopped to realise it had been directly in front of you the entire time. Flowers in hand, you knocked on Rosa's door.
"Y/N, perfectly on time."
You let out a sigh of relief you hadn't realised you had been holding.
"I just need to grab my jacket and then we can head out."
"Wait before you go back into your apartment, these are for you"
You hold out the bouquet sheepishly hoping Rosa will like them.
"Wow Y/N, you didn't have to. But I'm glad you did, I love them."
She takes the flowers from your hand before giving you a quick kiss and placing them in a vase of water. She grabs her jacket and the two of you head back out.
As you make it out the main entrance door you see Rosa's face drop in amazement.
"Your... Your car is AMAZING Y/N!"
You smile before opening the passenger door.
"Glad M'Lady likes her chariot"
"God Y/N you're such a dork, but you're my dork" she says planting a kiss on your cheek as you put your seatbelt on. You can't help but smile as you speed off to the restaurant.
