Melody McKaya was a Half blood and 11 yr old girl. She lived with her Pureblood mum Emma who was a editor of the sports section for the daily prophet, she worked with Ginny, Muggle born dad Jack who was a beater for the Appleby Arrows and her brother Michael who was 12 years old and was starting his 2nd year at Hogwarts this year. Melody also know as Mel for short had become good friends with Lily Luna Potter and Rose Granger-Weasley.
"Bye Mum, Bye Dad!" Melody said hugging her parents "stay safe and be good all of you" Ginny, Hermione and Emma said hugging Melody, Rose, Lily, Albus, James and Michael. With one last wave all of them walked onto the Hogwarts express, When they entered the train through the doors Albus 12, James 13 and Michael 12 headed left to look for a compartment and Lily, Rose and Mel went right.
They walked past about four compartments before the girls found a empty compartment and decided to sit there pulling there heavy trunks in they sat down. Melody and Lily got into a conversation about quidditch while Rose started reading some book to help her in charms class to help pass the time of the 4 hour ride to Hogwarts.
About a hour into the train ride the trolley witch came in to ask the girls if they wanted anything from the trolley "yes please, we will have 3 of everything you have got so
- 3 Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans
- 3 Drooble's Best Blowing Gum
- 3 Chocolate frogs
- 3 Pumpkin Pasties
- 3 Licorice Wands
- 3 waters

Once the Trolley Witch had passed everything out and left the compartment all of the girls giggled at how many things Lily had gotten them. for the next hour they ate treats chatted and gazed at the wonderful view, then they decided to play with there 3 snowy owls, Creampuff Lily's owl, Snowball Melody's owl and Elfie Roses owl.
"one hour left!, one hour left!" Rose sang, making Lily laugh, "Lets go for a walk" Lily suggested, and they all agreed "maybe we can find some more first years that we can be friends with" Mel said.
They opened the door to there compartment and turned left, they popped there heads in every compartment to see if there was anyone they could be friends with but they were all older kids, then Melody popped her head in a compartment and recognized the people it was her brother!
"hey, what do you want from the gold guys" Michael asked her in a deep sassy voice "the gold guys?" she asked "yeah, its the name we made up for me, Albus and James" her brother said "well were almost at the platform in Hogsmeade better get going" Melody said closing the door to there compartment and leading Lily and Rose back to theirs's.
"we better get changes into our Hogwarts robes!" said Rose grabbing her robes from where she was sitting and running out of her compartment to the change room. "I guess we should change into our robes" Melody said, she opened up her trunk and searched for a pair of robes, Lily did the same "found them first!" Lily said to Melody when she found her robes. Melody found her seconds later and the girls walked to the nearest change room together, taking turns changing into there robes.
The train reached the platform 5 minutes after all 3 girls got back from changing into there robe and the hulled there heavy trunks and owls onto the platform. they left there thing by a sign reading 'Bags here' they would be delivered to Hogwarts by carriages and walked up to someone wearing a nametag that read 'Roxane, Hagrid and Maxine's daughter' she was yelling "firs' years ov'r here, firs' years!"
All the first years pilled into a boat and they paddled across the Black lake to the entrance of Hogwarts
