It was the 15th of December, and the day of the winter ball. Everyone was really happy that the first and second years were allowed at the ball, well everyone but McGonagall. Neville and Teddy had convinced her that everyone should be allowed to go because it was Christmas, finally after a lot of promised, first years and second years were allowed to go to the ball but this was the only dance of the year that they were.
Lily really wanted to go to the ball with Lysander, but she assumed that he didn't like her. Rose also wanted to go with someone, and that someone was Scorpius, to her luck, he asked her to the ball! Hannah was (obviously) going with James, Maya and Kayla were going as friends, and so were the Scamander brothers.
"Wow, Rose I love your dress" Scorpius said to her "thanks, I like your outfit too" Rose replied while blushing

Rose turned around to see Lily "wow Lil's I love your jumpsuit, It suits you so well" she said "um... thanks Rose but I like yours better" Lily said "Lily, believe it or not, I actually like your outfit more than mine" Rose said "oh, well thanks, I'm going to see the Haywood twins (Maya and Kayla)" Lily said before walking away.

"OMG, Mel I don't know where you found that dress but it is absolutely out of this world! I love it so much" Albus gasped "thanks Al, I like your dress too, do you want to dance?" She asked him "I would love to" Albus replied

Everyone was having a great time till about a hour into the party when this happened. "What!?! WHY!" Rose was studently shouting across the whole great hall, then she ran out of the great hall and up to her dorm, tears spilling everywhere. When everyone calmed down Edith Kel a girl who liked Scorpius was in the corner kissing him, it looked like he was trying to pull away but nobody could be sure. "I'm checking on Rose" Melody whispered to Albus then grabbed Hugo and Lily's hands then ran up to the Gryffindor tower. They found Rose crying on her bed "Rose, what happened?" Lily whispered "Scorpius, he cheated on me" Rose said crying "I'll kill him" Hugo said bravely "no, Hugo, you won't" Rose said "what would you normally do in a issue like this?" Melody asked her "well, I would normally owl mum, or dad but they don't even know I like Malfoy and my dad would go crazy if he found out" Rose said crying even more.
The girls spent hours talking in there room, trying to calm Rose down. It was about midnight when they heard a knock on the door to there room, they assumed it was Maya and Kayla so they just said "you can come in" but to the golden girls surprise, it was not Kayla, or Maya, it was Scorpius. "what do you want!" Melody said rudely "I want to say sorr-" Scorpius said but was interrupted by Rose "you have nothing to say! NOW LEAVE" Rose said "Itwasalovepotion" Scorpius said quickly "huh?" Lily asked "I'm sorry Rose, it was a love potion" Scorpius explained.
Rose quickly got up walked over to Scorpius and hugged him "Scorp, I'm sorry" she whispered "it's okay" Scorp said. After Scorpius left Melody sighed and got into her bed, then said "whelp, this was definitely not the way I was expecting the winter ball to go" "I'm sorry guys, I really am, I'm the one who wrecked the ball" Rose sighed even bigger than Melody did "Rose, it's not your fault, Scorpius is a handsome guy, and lots of girls like him, really Rose, it's not your fault, if it was anyone's fault, it would be Edith, Edith Kel, the one that gave him the love potion" Lily said "I'm going to sleep, night guys" Melody said while yawning
