A Way Back Into Love

It all happened on August 2019, I met someone I never thought I would be able to call...my first love, and honestly? I never knew it would be someone like her, we were still so young at the time and I didn't know what I wanted...

"Class? You guys have another classmate", some groaned and some gasped, "Come in", said the teacher, a girl walked in making everyone in the room jaw dropped excluding the teacher, "Hi, good morning to you all, My name is Jennie Rubyjane Kim, and I will be your classmate for the whole year, I hope we could all be friends", she smiled as she finished, many was mesmerized but one wasn't...the school bully, Roseanne Park, she was just looking at the new girl with her cold like eyes, "Jennie...do you have a boyfriend?", one of their classmates asked, "Oh, uhm...apparently not, I've been focused on my studies, so there's that", she smiled after, "Ms. Kim, you can sit at the vacant spot beside Ms. Park...Ms. Park raise your hand", Rosis did as she was told cause, come on even though she's the school's queen bee, she still needs to have good grades, and as Jennie began to make her way to Rosie, murmurs then began to unfold,

'I wish I was Rosie'

'Oh I would pay any amount just to be that close to her'

And many more, "Hi!!", Jennie greeted Rosie as she then extended her hand out for Rosie to shake but Rosie just looked at it and back at Jennie.

Pouting, Jennie took the seat beside Rosie and then the teacher began to do his lecture, the bell rang and it was another time for another lesson, as it went by to lunch time...

Jennie was left behind in the room and as Rosie was about to leave, she saw Jennie still seated and she wondered, what is she doing?, "You're not coming?", Rosie asked, "Maybe after 5 minutes, still need to finish this", Jennie replied, and that made Rosie more curious, "What exactly are you doing??", Rosie once again asked as she then neared at Jennie, "Just a poem", Jennie answered and before Jennie could close her book, Rosie saw a glimpse of a two stanzas,

"I also used to believe that love is that easy
Like you'll just face an evil stepmother and then you're free
I used to invest my beliefs in a mere possibility
A possibility that might never happen in reality"

Rosie was amazed by the choice of words Jennie chose, "What?", Jennie asked as she saw Rosie make a shock face, "That...I didn't know you write", Rosie said and it made Jennie chuckle, "Well if you're a bookworm and loves to read like a lot of books and poems...then I guess?? I just tried tho, I haven't finished it yet", Jennie said as she stood up and grabbed her bag, "So...I'm guessing...I'm sitting with you?", Jennie asked as Rosie's eyes then widen, "I--What? Of course--",

"ROSEANNE PARK!!", a voice was then heard and also the door opening, "We have been--oh what do we have here?", 3 other girls then entered, "Guys...", Rosie said as she massage her temple, "She's quite pretty, Rosie", another commented, "Rinslet, meet Lisa, Jisoo, Wendy...girls meet Jennie, she's a transferee", Rosie introduced the 4 to each other, "Oh so that's why, you look new", Lisa said, "Come, let's have lunch...oh! Jennie, you can come with us if you like", Jisoo said as she then smiled at Jennie and smirked at Rosie, as the make way to the cafeteria, there were gasped that are heard and Rosie silently groanning while Jennie was slightly giggling as she saw the discomfort in Rosie...

That's when it started, we became friends, spend time mostly everyday but when she entered the Student Council it became limited, her suitors increased as to not only boys but also girls were courting her, it was our last year of High school where she showed me the poem that she wrote back when we first met, she said it was a little tricky continuing it cause she lost inspiration as she was so busy.
