Currently, you and Shoto cuddled with the kids at the master's bedroom.
"When I was eight, I didn't let anyone read bedtime stories for me." The dual-haired man mumbled.
"Papa stop making excuses and read!" Shoma playfully hit his father on the chest.
He and Shoichi were tucked in between you and Shoto.
Their father let out a loud and heavy sigh.
He really didn't want to read a story for them since he couldn't convey his feelings well—especially through reading.
So he looks at you, asking for help using puppy eyes.
But you rolled your eyes, scoffing before also tucking yourself in the blanket.
"Put us to sleep, oh great Shoto." You closed your eyes.
"Fine. What story do you want me to read?"
"Twinkle twinkle little star!"
"Stupid Shoma, that's a song.". . .
After reading a random fable, the two slept.
"Well, that's surprising." You chuckled as you looked at your children snoring.
Shoto grabbed a waterbottle from the bedside table, drinking it for his throat that wasn't used to reading something for a long time.
"I was nervous they wouldn't sleep..." He let out a sigh of relief.
Resting his sight on his children, his gaze softened.
Until you mentioned a topic, "Say, Shoto... There's something that's been bothering me for a while."
"Alright, who to kill?" He deadpanned.
"Calm down, five weenies." You facepalmed.
"Not that nickname please."
"Anyway, I was talking about your family." You said.
Shoto was taken a back as he looked at you with a worried look.
"What's wrong? My father didn't do anything right?" He asks.
"No no, not at all. I was considering that the children should meet them..."
"Including my father?" Shoto went cold.
You noticed the tone of voice so you sighed before looking at your sons, caressing Shoichi's head.
"You and I both know he's trying his best to correct his mistakes, Sho." You talked gently to him.
"And it does not change the wrongs he had done before."
"It also doesn't change that he is our children's grandfather—your father." You tried to talk some sense into him.
Shoto went silent, narrowing his eyes at Shoma and Shoichi.
