Love at First Sight

Chapter 7-The Apartment Fire!

"Casey!" Natalie says banging on Casey door
"Kelly! Wake up!" Natalie says banging on both the doors
"What's up- woah your in your underwear!" Casey says covering his eyes
"Oh my god! It's a vest top and underwear!" Natalie says
"What's going on?" Kelly says rubbing his eyes
"There's a fire in the hallway!" Natalie says
"What?" Casey says shocked
"We need to get everyone out! And fast!" Natalie says running towards the door
"Are you guys coming or not?" Natalie asks before opening the door
They all run out and start banging on people's doors
"Fire department! Get out!" They all say as they bang on the doors
They all run up and down to make sure that everyone is out. Natalie quickly notices that the fire stared in 1c and can hear someone screaming.
"I'm going in!" Natalie says before Casey holds her back
"Your not going in there Natalie! You've got no gear!" Casey says
"And not to mention your in your underwear!" Kelly says
"I'll be fine! You guys stay here!" Natalie says running in
"Natalie!" They both shout but she's already gone
Natalie is low on the ground and the noise of someone shouting is getting louder as she travels through the apartment
"Fire department call out!" Natalie shouts
"In here!" A woman calls out as she coughs
Natalie rushes into the room and finds a woman and her newborn son siting on the bed
"Hey! I'm Natalie! I live next door what's your name?" Natalie asks
"It's umm Stacey! My son he's only 2 weeks old and I didn't realise I left the stove on!" Stacey says in a panic
"Hey shhh! No one is judging you! I'm a Luitenent with the Chicago fire department! I'll help you and your son out!" Natalie says putting her hand out
"Okay!" Stacey says grabbing Natalies hand
Natalie holds her son and guides Stacey out of the apartment. As they get out they start coughing and Natalie hands her baby's back to her.
The medics run up
"Check them out! I have a mother who is 2 weeks postpartum and a 2 week old baby! Smoke inhalation!" Natalie says passing them off to the medics
"Let's get you out!" Casey says guiding Natalie out along with Severides help
They get out and are hit by the cold Chicago air, they are all freezing as they are all in their underwear. They get handed blankets and sit in the sidewalk. Boden arrives
"Are you 3 okay?" Boden asks
"Yeah we're good chief" Natalie says coughing
"That cough doesn't sound good!" Boden says
"This idiot ran into the apartment that set the whole building in fire" Casey says looking at Natalie
"But she did manage to save a mother and newborn baby" Kelly says rubbing natalies back
"Good thing you 3 live together now" Boden says as he walks away
Kelly, Matt and Natalie all look at each other for a second before they burst out laughing before heading to med to get checked out
