Chapter 23- The Hospital Bombing...

It's a few weeks later and Natalie is getting ready for a doctors appointment. She is sitting at the table with a cup of coffee in her hand.
"Look at you! Not stressing for once about work!" Kelly says as he walks in
"Oh please! I'll go to my appointment and then I'll be back to manage truck! You can't get rid of me that easily!" Natalie says smiling
"Who's covering for you anyway?" Casey asks as he grabs the orange juice from the fridge
"I didn't think there was any point getting someone from headquarters so I asked Herrmann to be acting Luitenent! It's only for like 2 hours!" Natalie says taking a sip of her coffee
"Well we've gotta run!" Kelly says looking at the time
"Have fun! Save me a place in your little hideout!" Natalie calls out as they walk out the door
Maya then looks at the time
"Shoot I'm gonna be late!" Natalie says running into her room
She gets ready and heads out to the doctors. She is sitting in the waiting room when she looks over her shoulder. She notices these men dressed in fully black holding padlocked briefcases.
"That's weird" Natalie thinks to herself
She then notices a man walking in who is sweating like a pig. As he takes a seat the shady men walk out. He sits there for a minute until he stands up on the nurses counter and opens his jacket
"Corri, corri prima che sia troppo tardi! questa bomba potrebbe esplodere da un momento all'altro!" The man says
"What is he saying?" A woman asks
"He's talking in Italian! He said run, run before it's too late this bomb could go off at any second!" Natalie says getting up slowly
"Okay I'm a firefighter! And I need you all to clear this building!" Natalie says looking at everyone trying not to show her fear
But it's too late. Natalie can hear a timer getting to its last few numbers so she turns round to see that the bomb timer is on 10
"Get down!" Natalie shouts as she dives for the man
Natalie tackles the man to the ground and the bomb goes off. Everything goes black for Natalie
*At the Firehouse*
"Hey Luitenent?" Gallo says
"What's up gallo?" Kelly replies not taking his eyes off the paper in his hands
"Do you have any idea where Luitenent Lewis is?" Gallo asks
"What's going on?" Casey says as he approaches them
"I was just wondering where Luitenent Lewis was?" Gallo repeats
"She's at a doctors appointment" Kelly says bluntly
"She'll be back later! Why?" Casey asks
"Oh just wondering! I just though it's not like her not to show up for work!" Gallo says before walking away
"He's madly in love with her!" Casey says watching gallo walk away
"Damn right he is!" Kelly says laughing
