Chapter 36- Thinking it over

Natalie stands there in shock. When Casey walks by
"Natalie?" Casey asks softly
"Kelly just said he was in love with me!" Natalie says
"What!" Casey says as his eyes widen
As Natalie goes to respond Stella walks out
"Happy now! That's another relationship you've broke up since you came here!" Stella shouts
"I didn't mean to!" Natalie says quietly
"Oh of course you did! That's been your plan all along! Are you happy now huh!" Stella says getting closer to Natalie
"I-" Natalie says but Stella cuts her off
"Don't even speak to me!" Stella shouts as Casey stands between them
"That's enough kidd!" Casey says putting his hands up
"Oh of course you have the Luitenents on your side!" Stella shouts before walking away
"This is really bad Casey!" Natalie says starting to panic
"Hey it's gonna be okay! We're gonna get through this!" Casey says smiling
Natalie walks away and Kelly walks out clearly stressed
"What have you done man?" Casey asks
"I don't know! But I do know that I've screwed up! Big time!" Kelly says putting his hands over his face
"You've gotta fix this! Before it effects the whole firehouse" Casey says
It's later on that shift and Natalie is in the common room
"Lewis! We're going for a ride! Your driving!" Brandon says
"You got it!" Natalie says as they walk out
Natalie jumps into the drivers seat and can feel the tension. They are halfway there when Natalie notices a puddle on the road. She keep driving as usual but it turns out it was a massive pothole
"Shoot!" Natalie says as the truck spins out of control
"Lewis!" Brandon shouts
"Hang on!" Natalie says as she starts to control the truck
"Look out!" Gallo says pointing to some teenagers on the sidewalk
"We're heading right for them!" Stella shouts
"I've got this!" Natalie shouts as she manages to get the truck to a controlled stop
Natalie jumps out
"Are you guys okay?" Natalie asks
"Yeah!" The shaken teenager says
"You sure?" Brandon asks
The teenagers simply nod and run away
"I'll call for someone to come and pick us up!" Brandon says
They finally get back to the firehouse and Natalie is working on the truck
"Ohh! What happened?" Casey asks
"Potholes! I hate the god damn things!" Natalie shouts
"Hey Natalie!" Capp shouts
"What's up Capp!" Natalie shouts back
"There's someone here and they asked to talk to the driver of truck 81!" Capp shouts
"Oh god!" Natalie says as she gets up and walks in
She takes a deep breath in to discover a woman standing
"Deputy commissioner?" Natalie asks
"I wasn't aware that a woman would be the driver of truck 81!" The commissioner says
"Oh yeah! I'm Natalie Lewis!" Natalie says smiling
"We got a video sent to us about the crash today! And I was impressed by the way you handled it! I'll have you know that you might have your Luitenentcy back sooner than you thought!" The commissioner says before walking out
