"Truck 81, squad 3, Engine 51, Ambulance 61, apartment building fire, 23rd street" the intercom says
They all suit up and get ready to go. Truck is first to arrive on scene
"That's a big one!" Natalie says as she looks at the fire quickly spreading
Minutes later everyone is on scene and are told what to do by Boden
"Okay! All truck companies! I need you to listen to Luitenent Natalie Lewis! Squad listen to Luitenent Kelly Severide and Engine listen to Luitenent Matt Casey!" Boden shouts
"Okay guys! I want you all to go with someone! If anything happens radio for help! I repeat no one will be going onto the fire floor! Got it!" Natalie shouts
"Got it!" Everyone shouts before finding a partner and running into the fire
Natalie goes alone and ends up on the fire floor. She stands and listens and can hear
"Help us!" A little boy shouts
"I'm going in" Natalie says to herself
Natalie breaks down the door and runs in staying low
"Fire department call out!" Natalie shouts
"In here!" A terrified little boy calls out
Natalie runs in to discover a little boy cradling his little sister
"Hey there! My name is Natalie! What's your name?" Natalie says getting down to his level
"I'm Zak and this is Laura" Zak says looking at his baby sister in his arms
"Okay! Your being so brave Zak! How old are you?" Natalie asks
"I'm 6 and Laura's 1!" Zak says clearly terrified
"Okay! Let's get you out of here!" Natalie says taking Laura off Zak and grabbing Zak's hand
They run out of the fire floor and are greeted by Gallo on the stairs
"Hey Zak! This is my friend Blake! He's going to take you and your sister down the rest of the way!" Natalie says with a warm smile on her face
"Okay miss Natalie" Zak says taking gallos hand
"Come on bud! Your doing so well!" Gallo says as they walk carefully down the stairs
Natalie manages to clear out the fire floor and is on another floor
"Fire department all out!" Natalie shouts
No one calls out. Natalie checks every room just to make sure and discovers a woman lying unconscious on the floor in her kitchen. Natalie checks for a pulse and can find a very weak one. She puts the woman over her shoulder and takes her out. On the stairwell Natalie hands the woman over to another firefighter.
"Mayday! Mayday! Gallos down! And he isn't breathing!" A firefighter says through the radio
"Is anyone near them?" Boden asks
"What floor?" Casey asks
"Umm were on 13!" The firefighter replies
"I'm on 10 chief! I'll get him!" Natalie says
"Go for it Lewis!" Boden answers
