Chapter 13

Jay's POV

What just happened? I'm kinda in shock but it's not like we haven't done it before either. We recollect ourselves and get dressed before heading back out to the party with every one.

"Hey can you help me tie this?" Val says swiping her hair over her shoulder with her back towards me

I walk over and tie the two strings to her dress.

"All set" I said

"Thanks" she says grabbing her shoes and walking out the door

I follow behind her.

"Are we just gonna pretend what just happened didn't happen?" I call out after her

"Yup. Exactly" she says before going through the white corridor doors

Val's POV

I make my way back out to the party. I head straight to the bar and ordered myself the strongest drink they had. I very much need it for what just happened.

"Well hello there" Matt said coming up right next to me

"Hi Matt..." I said downing my drink

"Woah there. Where were you the past thirty minutes?"

"I was just catching some air"

"That's strange too cause Jay was missing as well. You wouldn't know where he was right?"

"Nope. Not a clue" I said avoiding eye contact

"C'mon Val, I know when you're lying" Matt says

"Please don't be mad"

"I knew it. Enough said" he says shaking his head

"Any ways, can we go home please?" I asked

Matt shakes his head and we both head over to Gabby and everyone else. We made our goodbyes and left the party. Once we got home, I took a nice long shower. Washed and scrubbed every inch of my body. Thoughts about what happened earlier cross my mind. To be honest it did feel good to be close with Jay at that moment. Although I want to have things back to the way it was, I can't let it happen again. It's better for us to be separated than together.

I get out of the shower and dry myself with the towel then wrapped it around my body. I blew dried my hair then put it up into a bun. I walked out the bathroom and into my closet. I picked out the clothes I was going to wear to sleep and for what I was going to wear tomorrow for work. As I'm looking for clothes, I hear a thump outside in my room. I grab my bat in the corner and call out to whoever it is.

"Hello? Matt? Gabby? Is that you?" I said

Still no answer. I step out with the bat raised and there was Jay climbing in from the window.

"WHAT THE FUCK JAY!" I said lowering the bat and my hand over my chest

"What?" Jay smirks

"You almost gave me a heart attack" I rolled my eyes before putting the bat back into my closet and continued to look for clothes

"What are you doing?" Jay asked leaning up against the door frame

"What does it look like I'm doing?" I said pointing to my clothes

"I'm gonna go to bed then" He said smirking and biting his lower lip before heading onto my bed

"Woah woah, who said you could sleep here? I know damn well I didn't" I said going out to the room
