Chapter 24

Val's POV
The babies vitals are perfectly normal. Everything looks good and healthy. They are preemies since they are a few months early.  They don't have to go into the hospital since they're weight reached the passing limit. 

Will finished cleaning them up and placed both in their own bassinet right next to me in bed.  They're perfect. My tiny little humans.

"So what is the little prince and princess's name?" Erin asks adoring them

"Kai and Halston" I smiled

"I really like that" Gabbie says

"It really suits them" Matt says coming

"Oh good you're here. Shut the door" I told Matt

"What's going on?" Matt asks

"I need you to help me leave tomorrow" I said

"Are you sure Valerie? You just had two babies. You need to rest and heal up" Gabbie says

"I understand. But I need to get out of here. I can't stand this place" I explained

"I'll help you get out of here. But after these next two weeks" Matt says

"Matt, you know I can't stay here. The longer I have to wait the longer I'm trapped in this shithole relationship. I want what's best for the kids and it's leaving here and starting a new life somewhere else" I said

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Jay says barging in

"GET THE FUCK OUT!" I yelled

"I'M NOT LETTING YOU LEAVE"

"WATCH ME!" I said throwing a pillow at him

The babies start to cry. I reach over and pick up Halston and rock her.

"It's okay baby, mommy's here" I cooed

"Daddy's here as well" Jay said picking up Kai and rocking him

I glared at him. I know they're his babies too but those filthy hands should be nowhere near them.

"What're their names?" Jay asks

"Halston and Kai" Gabbie says

"What about last name?" Erin asks

"Mines" Both Jay and I say at the same time

"No. They're taking my last name" I said

"Are you serious? They're not just your kids" Jay argues

"Should've thought of that before you fucked that bitch in the bathroom" I say

"How many times do I have to keep apologizing? I'm sorry for what I did. I'm sorry for my actions" Jay says

"That doesn't fix anything" I say as tears start to prick my eyes again

"That's enough. You need to go" Matt says

Jay puts Kai down in his bassinet before leaving the room.

"I'll get you out tomorrow morning. I'll find a place tonight and get everything settled with all the paperwork and everything" Matt says

"Thank you Matt" I smiled

"Rest up my love. I wish you the best. Stay in touch okay?" Erin says hugging me

"Of course. I will. Thank you for everything" I hugged back

"Goodbye my little munchkins. Stay out of trouble for mommy okay. Take good care of her. Auntie Erin loves you both" Erin says giving each of the babies a kiss before leaving the room
