The sounds of the machines is all that I hear. I open my eyes slowly letting them adjust to the light. Looks like I'm in a private room. Flowers and gifts were everywhere. I'm guessing the surgery went well. I look over to my left and there was Jay sleeping on the cot. I move my hand over my stomach slightly and smile. A slight knock was on the door and Jay woke up. He was about to open the door when Will walks in.
"Oh good you're awake. How are you feeling?" Will asks
"I'm good. How was the surgery?" I asked
"We fixed up everything and the babies are fine" Will says
"I'm sorry did you just say babies?!" I asked in shock
"That is correct. We couldn't tell from the first ultrasound but once we got in there during the surgery we saw another baby hiding behind the other one" Will says
"Holy shit I'm gonna be a dad to twins" Jay says getting woozy
"Jay, sit down before you hurt yourself. Valerie do you want to know the genders?" Will says
"No she doesn't. I'll take it and she can find out at the gender reveal party I'm gonna throw" Erin says coming
"No Erin you don't have to do that" I said
"No I want to. I need an epic story to tell them in the future" Erin says
"Okay fine. But can I see them now on the ultrasound Will?" I asked
"Of course" Will says
Will grabs the ultrasound machine and rolls it over to the bed. I lift my gown up above my stomach and Will squirts the cool gel on stomach. He places the wand on top and starts to move it around. Within an instant I hear little heartbeats. On the screen showed two little tiny humans. Jay grabs my hand and watches the screen as well.
"That's our babies" Jay says
"They sure are" I say back
Will prints out the sonograms and hands them to me. He then prints out another set that reveals the genders and puts it in an envelope and hands it to Erin.
"I'm gonna keep you here for a few more nights to make sure you're strong enough to go home without any complications. Maggie will be in to check up on you every few hours. Call me if you need anything else otherwise. Congratulations again" Will says before stepping out
"You guys this is so exciting! Little Jay's and little Val's running around soon is exciting! I can't wait!" Erin squeals
"Don't over excite yourself" Jay laughs
"I'm gonna go tell the gang. I'll see you guys later" Erin says before leaving the room
"I really can't believe it. There are twins inside my belly" I say
"We really will have our hands full won't we" Jay says
"Yeah but I'm going to enjoy it" I say
"You're going to be an amazing mother" Jay says before giving me a quick kiss on the lips
~3 Days Later~
I'm officially leaving the hospital. Everything looks good and healthy. Will gave me more prenatals before discharging me. Jay stayed with me the whole time while I was here. I grab all of my things and put it in my bag while I wait for Jay to bring the car around.
"You're all set Valerie. I'll see you in a few weeks for your next check up" Will says
"Thank you for everything" I said
Will leaves the room and Jay comes in.
"Ready to go?" Jay asks
"Yeah. Let's get outta here" I said grabbing my bag
We both head out of the hospital and into the car. During the car ride we made little conversations here and there. Then he says something that totally threw me off guard.
"Move in with me" he says
"I'm sorry what?" I asked
"Move in with me. There's space for you and I have a spare room for the kids. It's much easier to keep an eye on you and the kids as well"
"I don't know Jay..."
"I promise I'll make it worth it"

"Alright. I'll move in with you"
"Yes!" Jay says grabbing my hand and kissing the top of it with a big smile on his face
He drives back to his place and we both head in. I set my bag down on the chair and sit down on the couch.
"Welcome home" Jay says sitting down next to me
"Thank you for everything" I said before leaning in and giving him a kiss
I break the kiss and just smile to myself.
"What?" Jay asks
I take his hand and place it over my stomach. The babies kick for the first time for him.
"Did you feel that?" I smiled
"That is amazing" he says placing both hands on my stomach feeling around for another kick
We both just sit back and relax while feeling the babies kicks here and there. I can tell that Jay really wants this. Maybe it'll be different this time and Jay will get to experience it all with me.
