Once Jay and I reached the fair, we both went our separate ways from everyone else. The fair was super crowded. There was basically no room to walk. Jay and I stayed close. I held onto his hand everywhere we went. We reached a coffee booth and sat down at one of the tables.
"Do you want anything?" Jay asks
"I'm okay. I'm still kinda nauseous from this morning" I said
"Okay. I'll go grab a cup of coffee real quick. Stay put" he says sternly
"Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere" I laughed
I looked around and everyone and their families were enjoying their time. The others are around enjoying their time and being in close in range in case something comes up. Jay comes back and sits down across from me.
"How's the coffee?" I asked
"It's so good. Much needed actually cause you took all of my energy earlier" he winked
"Oh please. You know that was nothing" I teased
"I guess I'll have to find out later"
"No, I'm gonna have you wait until after this baby comes out"
"You wouldn't dare!"
"Watch me"
We both laughed before getting up and heading towards the paddle boats. While walking over, I noticed a few people watching us but was keeping casual. There were eyes on us in every direction. I gripped onto Jay's arm.
"Is everything okay?" he asks
"They're here. They're everywhere" I said
"Guys, heads up. They're here. There's about 8 here. They're slowly closing in on us. We're over by the paddle boats" he says into the walkie while looking around
As we reached the docks, we paid for our ticket and picked a boat. Jay got in first to help me get in after. As I was about to step in, I was yanked back by the worker. Turns out it was Sara in disguise.
"WHAT THE HELL!" I said
"SARA! LET HER GO!" Jay says panicking while trying to step out of the boat
"You're gonna watch her die. Right here, right now" Sara says before wrapping her arm around my neck while pulling out a knife with the other and bringing it up to my neck
"Sara, can we please talk about this?" I said calmly trying not to panic
"There is nothing to talk about. You stole my man and now you're gonna pay for it" Sara says inching the knife closer to my neck
"Sara, please put the knife down. I'll be yours forever. We can run off together" Jay says getting out of the boat slowly
The gang shows up with their gun drawn and aimed at Sara. She grips me tighter and the tip of the knife knicks my skin drawing blood.
"Please let me go. You can have Jay" I cried
"Would you look at that. Blood running down the blade. Just how I like it. How about we draw some more" Sara says twirling the tip of the knife in deeper cause more blood to come out
"PLEASE!" I cry out in pain
All that was going through my mind was the safety of the baby. I have to try to keep calm and not cause any stress. But at this point, I'm in pain. I try to break loose from her grip but it was useless. Her grip kept getting tighter and tighter.
"DROP THE WEAPON!" Kim yells inching closer
"LET HER GO! NOW SARA!" Antonio says
Sara let's me go but pushes me down on the dock hard. I held onto my neck to stop the blood from running down but another pain strikes me. I look down in between my legs and blood was running down.
"No...no...no..." I panicked
"Even better. You're pregnant too. I guess I'll just have to kill both of you" Sara says before lunging at me with the knife only to be shot at by Voight multiple times
Jay and Erin runs up to me. Jay being lost on what to do.
"Jay, pick her up" Erin says
He doesn't respond. He just stares at the blood running down my legs.
"JAY!" Erin yells grabbing his attention
He picks me up and brings me over to Adam's car.
"IT HURTS!" I scream out in pain as I lean against Jay in the car as Adam drives to the hospital
"Everything is okay Valerie. Everything is going to be okay. You and the baby" Jay says holding me tightly

Adam pulls up to the ER and Jay carries me out of the car. Still screaming in pain, he brings me in and Maggie greets us.
"What happened?" Maggie asked
"Just please help her" Jay says
Maggie directs us to trauma room 2 and Jay lays me down on the bed. Will and Natalie comes in.
"Oh my god, Valerie" Natalie says before heading over to the monitors and preparing to hook me up
"Jay, I'm gonna need you to step outside and let us do our job" Will says gesturing Jay out
"I'm not going anywhere. Just help her and the baby. I can't lose the baby Will. You understand?" Jay says frustrated holding back his tears
"We'll try our best" Will says before heading over to me
Still screaming in pain, Natalie pushes in 2 milligrams of morphine into the IV. It did help with the pain. She then pulls my dress up above my stomach and does an ultrasound.
"So, you are losing fluid in the amniotic sac. It does appear that it is ruptured but it is an easy fix. We will be able to save the baby. Do we have your consent to the surgery?" Natalie asks
"Please, anything that helps. Please save the baby" I cried
"You got it" Will says before rolling me out of the room
"I'll be right here when you're done" Jay says before kissing me on my forehead
Will and Natalie roll me up to surgical floor. They prep me and themselves. Before getting the anesthetic, I had to tell Will something.
"I want you to promise me something Will" I said
"What is it" Will asks
"Promise me that if something goes wrong during this surgery, save the baby" I said
"I can't make that promise Valerie" Will says
"Will, I mean it. Save the baby" I said with a tear streaming down my face
"Okay. I promise" Will says
The anesthesiologist injects the drug and I am out into a deep sleep. Fingers crossed that everything will be fine.
