Arnav was going in search of Kushi when he heard the soft sobs coming from his sister's room

He opened the door without making any noise and found her sitting on the bed, hugging her knees close to the chest ,her head bent.

"Di" Arnav called out guiltily. In his efforts to win Kushi back, he had totally forgot about his sister.

Anjali looked up at the sound and wiped her tears away and pasted a smile on her face

"Chotte. Come sit"

"You okay di?" He asked knowing very well that his sister is not okay. That she is heartbroken.

"Yes yes. How are you chotte. Its been so long since you talked to me" Anjali said softly

"I'm sorry di. I didn't mean to neglect you"

"No no. It's okay chotte. I understand. I really do. You are a husband now. And your wife is your priority. And it should be like that. I'm happy for you chotte.I just wish you would spend a little bit of time with me" Anjali said genuinely

"Di..."

"And I'm very proud of you chotte. The way you stood by Kushi ji that day. I didn't really notice it that day. But when I thought about it later, I realized how much you have changed for better. If it were the old you ,you would have jumped into conclusions and might have even accused Kushi ji. But you didn't do that. And I know it is Kushi Ji's love that changed you for better. You both are very lucky to have each other" Anjali said ,happy for her brother.

Arnav felt like the lowest life in the whole world.

He betrayed Kushi.

He broke his di's trust in him.

His eyes filled with tears at the impending doom of his future.

He is going to loose her. He could feel it in his bones

Anjali panicked seeing the tears running down her brother's cheeks

Arnav Singh Raizada never cries.

He hadn't even cried when he saw his mother's corpse. He had simply closed himself off to the outer world

But he never once cries.

"Chotte. Kya hua? Why are you crying? Baat karo mujse chotte" Anjali prompted gently

Arnav placed his head on her lap and cried hard.

"Chotte you are scaring me. Tell me what it is? Please talk to me chotte"

"Nothing is okay di. Nothing is. She is going to leave me. She will leave me di. I can't live without her di" Arnav said

"Chotte. Why would she leave you? That's nonsense. She loves you so much. I know. I have seen it in her eyes."

"And I have killed that love di. She will never forgive me"

"What have you done chotte?" Anjali asked dreading the answer

The whole story stumbled out leaving Anjali frozen

"How could you chotte? How could you do that to the woman you claimed to love?" Anjali asked flinching at the thought of everything Kushi had to go through because of her husband and her brother.

"I thought she betrayed me di. When I saw her in his arms, I couldn't bear it. I did whatever I could to get her away from him"

"You didn't have to marry her for that chotte."

"I wanted her di. Even when I thought she loved him ,I couldn't let her go. I'm not proud of what I did."

"Its all because of me. You did everything because of me. How she must hate me?" Anjali said pained at the thought
