Another two months passed by in a blur.

Arnav Singh Raizada paced to and fro, making holes in the carpet.

His eyes went to the huge wall clock every ten seconds.

"Damn! Why is the clock not moving"

Baby Naira, who was happily lying and  kicking her legs on the rug laid on the floor looked at her uncle's agitated movements.

"Chotte. Stop pacing. My baby is following your movements with her eyes and if you keep doing this, she will develop a squint" Anjali scolded her brother, as she took her baby in her arms.

"Uh. Sorry di" Arnav said and sat on the couch.

His laptop was on the table and he was waiting for the clock to strike nine.

"You are not going to the office chotte?" Anjali asked

"Di. You forgot? Kushi's results will be out today" Arnav said

"Oh yes. It skipped my mind. When will it be out"

"Nine is the time they announced. But you know the system. The time varies" Arnav said

Payal rushed to the living room as soon as she set the breakfast table

"Arnav ji?" Payal called out hesitantly

Arnav looked at Payal in shock. In the six months after Kushi left, this is the first time she is talking to him.

He simply stared at her, wondering if he had imagined it.

"Arnav ji?" Payal called again

"Yes Payal" Arnav responded as soon as he snapped out of his daze

"I heard you telling di that you are waiting for the results."

"Uh yes. I hope you don't mind." Arnav said not knowing how Payal is going to react

"Ofcourse No. I would like to see the results too. I'm sure Kushi will not be sitting there waiting for the results" Payal said making the Raizada siblings frown

"Why?"

"During her tenth grade results, she got into the bed and buried herself under the duvet telling us to wake her only if she passed the exam. If she failed, we were told to let her sleep her failure off" Payal said with a chuckle remembering the long ago day

How happy they were then?

How happy her little sister was?

Arnav chuckled imagining the scene.

That is 'sooo Kushi'

His phone rang

"Yeah Aman. I told you to cancel all the meetings today and not to call me unless you are on your death bed" Arnav said earning a gasp from Payal.

Anjali shook her head sympathising for poor Aman

"Uh ASR. I didn't call for any official work. I have a cousin who wrote her twelfth grade exam" Aman said

"So? You want me to give her a job?" Arnav asked with a frown.

AR doesn't employ people without a degree certificate

The only person AR had employed without a degree was Kushi.

"Ofcourse No ASR. I just called to inform that the results are already out. In case you were waiting.." Aman trailed off not knowing what response he is going to get

"Its already out? Damn! Thank you Aman" Arnav said and hung up the phone.

Aman sighed in relief at the other end of the phone.
