I don't understand you
But I think I love that about you
I'll keep writing until I understand why
I don't understand you
I feel warm when I'm around you
Yet you act cold
I'll keep writing until I understand how
I don't understand you
Occassionally I get a feeling you still want me
As much as I want you
But I remember
You hold someone of your own
And you would think the answer is crystal clear
But I'm pretty sure it's a toss up
It's been back and forth, a year
I'll keep writing until I understand who
I don't understand you
Sometimes you hide yourselves from me
Other times you parade about like a show pony
Unfortunately I think I understand why
I had a reason at the time
And the reason I had was limits and time
As well as limits on time
But now I wonder if it was all in my head
But isn't every aspect of a relationship in everyone's mind?
Though I was the one who started this
I will not be the one who finishes it
Many things caused us to fall
We probably could've worked out them all
But which "one" was the last straw?
I'll keep writing until I understand what
I don't really understand where I belong
I'm not sure if it's in your arms
In his arms
Or if I'll eventually want only my arms
I'll keep writing until I understand where
I don't understand me
I know I deserve someone better
And can get that someone better
But right now all I want and care for getting is you
Once I actually believe myself and am certain
I'll start looking for someone better
Be it myself or someone else
I'll keep writing until I understand when
It's 5:25 in the morning
I've been up approximately two and a half hours
Thinking of what I can write about you
And in this writing I hope I'll find
The answers to the reasons why
Because the only thing I'm certainly about with you
Is that you're no longer mine
I'll just keep writing until I have nothing left to say
Until something worth writing about comes along another day
Now, here is where my work of writing shall stay
