It's too bad
We can never be
Well we can
We never will, so I guess "we" never should
And at times that makes me quite sad
With reflections into a deep night
The window beams back
Look, a mirror
It seems odd, funny, weird, but I'm not mad
You're just not here
A firefly glows and admiration, love
It's definitely geniune, and it might be true
All of it came in like the moon will draw in the tide
I heard no whisper, maybe they just couldn't scream
Well, by that time the unpredictable moon had cast out its line again
Into the sea
Where the other fishes swim, and they're waiting for me
Logic dictates this is right
Normally logic doesn't rule my mind but today
My thoughts of rest are taking higher priority
I don't seem to care, seem to mind
What'll happen is what's right
And I do not feel hot, angry, passion-filled
A sleepy sadness is all that washes over me
For into the night this love goes
And like a love, I will wake when a morning rooster crows
The future is waiting for me
And here am I to take it, at last and finally
There is great beauty in the world
When a leaf falls, whether the moon shines
I have to believe it will come one day, something
It'll come and it will fetch me
"Here I am!" it'll say
Come along to this magical place
The tides will be long, and they'll be slow
The only light of a moon
Constant, unstoppable, singularly a powerful force, and life
Is all that will glow
The world will not stop for a single tear, a single touch
It will not stop if everything goes wrong
I will not stop for it's not and yet enough
