Three days later
"Dad you wanted to see me?" Bucky said as he came int James' office.
"Yeah. Shelby here brought this to my attention. She's doing her best to cover it up whatever this is." James said as he held up paparazzi photos.
Bucky saw clear as day a pap had gotten photos of his altercation with Kelsea. He gulped and swallowed hard. He saw his grandpa was sitting there.
He looked down. "I had a weekend long affair with her the weekend before the photo shoot. Rochelle and I were having problems..she came to me and said she was pregnant." Bucky said
"Okay. Thank you for clearing that up grandson. Your daddy and I will take care of it from here." James Sr said as he sipped his scotch and puffed his cigar.
"Okay." Bucky said as he left.

Four days later
"Kelsea table 5 is specifically asking for you." Paisley said (her co worker)
Kelsea looked over to see James she gulped. "You okay?" Paisley said when she noticed that Kelsea went pale.
"Yeah.." she said as she made her way over to the table.
"Hi..I'm Kelsea.." she said but was cut off.
"Sit down Ms Franklin. We are going to have us a little chat." He said
She slowly sat down. "Now I don't know you. But you seem like a reasonable girl a smart girl for someone whose attending Colombia University." James said
Kelsea stayed quiet. "So I'm hoping that you will understand this. Stay away from my son..I don't know who had to blow to get into such a prestigious Ivy League college. But it's clear that you were trying to pin a unwanted pregnancy on my son cause he's a golden ticket right? Well here's a golden ticket for your little gold digger ass. Here's 30 grand for you to stay away from my son and my family..and also to terminate the pregnancy." James said as he slid a check across the table.
She felt hot tears fall down her face. "Sorry to disappoint you Mr Barnes but I don't need your money. You can shove it up your ass." She said
"If you honestly think my son will come back he won't. He has a wife and two kids that he loves very much. You are nothing to him..so take the money and get rid of the baby." He said as he slide the check back.
"With all due respect Governor you will never get me to abort a baby." She said
"If you think that keeping that bastard will earn you some money from my son. It won't I'll fight you in court before I let my son pay child support to a gold digging whore who probably slept around with a bunch of nobodies. And is now trying to pin a pregnancy on my son cause of his status and money." James said
"Get out! Before I call the cops I will not stand here and let you degrade me. You don't even know me so take your 30 grand and shove it up your ass!" She snapped as she stood up.
She ripped the check up into tiny little pieces and threw them at him. James pulled out another one and stuck it in her apron.
"I hope you make the right decision." He said and left.
Once he was gone she started cry and cramp. "Hey hey it's okay. He's gone." Paisley said as she held her.
Paisley felt her go limp and they had EMTs rushed to the diner. When Kelsea woke up a lady from the diner walked into her room.
"Hi.." she said confused
"Hi..it appears we may have something in common." the woman said
"What do you mean?" She said
"I'm Abigail Carmichael or Abby. My mother is Debra..before she married the man that I call my father. She use to work for the Governor. They had a secret relationship for two months when he was a mayor." Abby said
Kelsea sat up. "I'm the product of their affair. Unfortunately he doesn't know me..according to my mom his dad did the same thing he just tried to do to you. So which son did you get mixed up with Donovan Deacon or Duncan.." Abby said
"The little one..James Jr.." she said
"Ah yes. His pride and joy as my mom use to say." Abby said
"Your mom is gone?" She said
"Yeah she passed away after a horrific car accident when I was 15. She was brain dead and my dad and I chose to turn off the machines." Abby said
"My mom is gone too. Did the doctors say anything about the baby?" She said
"Oh the baby is perfectly fine. He/she is going to be a super strong baby." Abby said
The two women continued to bond and get to know each other. It was Abby who picked her up the next morning and took her home. They had exchanged phone numbers and became super close.
