~Narrator Point Of View~

The day had finally arrived, Anastasia's fourteenth birthday!

It also happened to be the first Beauxbatons quidditch match of the year! It was Beauxbatons vs. Slytherin.

Anastasia woke up that morning with a large pile of presents at the bottom of her bed. All beautifully wrapped with ribbons and bows. She jumped out of bed and began to unwrap the many gifts she had received.

The first gift was from Anastasia's godmother and godfather, Reinhard and Charlotte Lestrange. They had gifted her a new purse straight from the designer atelier. Charlotte was Anastasia's mother's best friend, and Reinhard was her father's best friend. Reinhard and Charlotte were also the mother and father to some of her father's most loyal Death Eaters, Rodolphus Lestrange and Rabastan Lestrange.

The next gift was from Anastasia's Aunt Cecilia, who gave her a couple beautiful pairs of silk pajamas.

Next, Anastasia received a one-person quaffle from her Uncle William for her to practice with whenever she was not at practice. It made her laugh because it was basically a quaffle for someone with no friends.

Then, Anastasia opened gifts from her quidditch teammates. She received quidditch books and various candies from Honeydukes.

The next gift Anastasia received was from Draco. He had gifted her a beautiful and dainty diamond necklace. Anastasia was mesmerized the second she saw the sparkling diamonds. She immediately put the necklace on upon receiving it.

Anastasia then opened her gifts from Katerina and Juliette who had both gifted her many beautiful gowns and dresses.

Lastly, Anastasia received an unlabeled gift. She opened the large package cautiously. She opened the box and saw the most amazing thing she had ever seen. A brand new Firebolt broom! Anastasia momentarily could not breathe. She had just received a box containing the fastest broom in the world! She then pulled the sleek black broom out of the box to reveal the silver engraving. Anastasia Elizabeth Mary it read.

Who had gifted her this broom, and how did they know her full name?

This bothered Anastasia the rest of the morning.

Anastasia quickly grabbed some breakfast before grabbing her broom and walking down to the pitch. She greeted her teammates and politely thanked them for their thoughtful gifts. The team then began coming up with their strategy. This was their first game at Hogwarts and they were not about to lose. Also, they did not know how good the Slytherin team would be. Other than what other people had said. They then heard cheers from the crowd. They knew that the Slytherin team had arrived. The Beauxbatons team hopped on their brooms and flew out to the pitch to join their opponents.

The Beauxbatons team flew out from the lockers as the stands erupted in cheers. Anastasia then led her team along with Charles and Edmund down to the ground, where Marcus Flint was waiting for Charles. Charles walked over to meet him in the middle, grinning as he stared bloody murder at him.

The Slytherin Co-Captain who Stas knew to be Adrien Pucey smirked as he looked to the right of Avery to see Anastasia.

"Nice broom, Princess." He said, raising his eyebrows at the girl with a smirk.

She contorted her face in disgust with a scoff.

"Careful you might break a nail," One of Pucey's friends said as he laughed.

"Not before I break your neck," Anastasia said with a venomous smile.

"Captains shake hands!" Madame Hooch said.

Charles and Marcus exchanged a forced handshake as all eyes were on them.

Anastasia glanced up to see Draco who was looking away from her and instead staring at Pucey like a predator stared at its prey. She smiled at this and gently touched the necklace that now sat around her neck.

Before Anastasia knew it, the game had begun.

The crowd cheered as Anastasia dove for the quaffle. She tucked the quaffle under her arm and headed toward the three hoops to score. Pucey and his friends eventually caught up to her. The boys went to both sides of her and dug their elbows into her ribs in an attempt to get the quaffle. Anastasia quickly looked down to see Edmund already waiting to assist; she dropped the quaffle to Edmund as he then began to fly towards the hoops.

"Emerys is heading towards the hoops!" The announcer said.

"Emerys to Riddle, score!"

The rest of the game went very well for the Beauxbatons team. Anastasia scored three times, and Charles and Edmund both scored five times. The Slytherin team was furious. Especially since they only lost by one point.

The Beauxbatons students threw an amazing party inside the carriage to celebrate Anastasia's birthday and their quidditch win.

Although she had received great birthday gifts this morning, the best of all had to be seeing Charles hunt down Pucey and his friends after the game and give them a beating they could never forget. She could never forget the look of pure defeat on their faces as they walked up the hill practically blinded by their swelling black eyes.

Anastasia later threw a small sleepover for her birthday.

She invited Katerina, Juliette, and a Slytherin girl she had met named Daphne Greengrass.

This was definitely the best birthday she had in a while!

Except, she still did not know who had sent her the broom, or how they knew her full name which kept her up that night.

Anastasia, Katerina, and Edmund quickly boarded the Beauxbatons carriage along with a few other students. They were going back to Ireland for Christmas!  Anastasia and Katerina sat next to one another and waited for Juliette to join them.

"Is Fleur going to her home this Yule?" Katerina asked Stasi.

"No," She said, "She is staying because of the tournament."

Finally, Juliette joined them in the carriage just before it was about to take off. Once the carriage had left the ground, Juliette took the seat across from Stasi and Katerina.

"Hello!" Juliette said cheerfully.

The girls greeted her back and began to chat about what they would do during Yule break together as Juliette's parents had allowed her to spend the holidays with The Emerys family.

Since it was very late at night, all four of them went straight to bed.

The following morning at breakfast was quiet. That is until Uncle William and Aunt Cecilia woke up.

"So good to see you all!" Cecilia said, hugging Edmund and then Katerina.

"Good morning, Sweetheart!" she then said, hugging Anastasia.

Anastasia and her Aunt Cecilia have always been very close. Anastasia looked up to her as a mother-like figure, and Cecilia always thought of Anastasia as a second daughter. Anastasia and her Uncle William were also very close. After all, following her mother's death he was the one to take her in without question. He was also very protective of Anastasia as he knew he could never forgive himself if anything happened to her. He viewed it as his duty to his beloved sister Alexandria and his parents to protect her.

As they were the ones that protected her.

The next few days in Ireland were amazing! Aunt Cecilia had taken the girls out to do some final Christmas shopping, and all four of them had a blast building snowmen and having snowball fights outside The Emerys Manor.

It was starting off to be a fantastic holiday!
