"let's hope a shooting doesn't break out" mirah said laughing.
me and mirah have always been the closest in the friend group so we hung out a bit more.
we were at my house.

"welp that's what happens when people host concerts here but probably not they might have security" i said

"anyways did you talk to mykel..?" mirah said she sounded hesitant to say what she was going to say.

"yeah and long story short he told me to stop worrying about what he's doing" i said

"okay and you and your dad" she asked laying on her back

"awkward it feels like there is no bond just nothing he said he loves me but i'm not really sure how i feel towards him and i feel really guilty about it" i said

"macei he's been absent from you life a lot it's okay to be confused but at least give him a chance when the time comes." mirah said

"your right.." i said nodding
"anyways how are we going to see that concert?" i said laughing

"i just followed random people on instagram that are from here that said they bought tickets and i know they are going to be live." mirah said laughing

"you really want to see this concert huh?" i said smiling

"yeah tickets are 50 dollars i only made 40 dollars from chores." she said

"do something at the corner store marco might let you help restock that will give you the ten dollars you need" i said

"you right i'll see you later i'll text you when to be at the subway station when i get back from the concert" mirah said putting her shoes on quickly

"okay slow down" i said laughing.

it was 9pm and mirah was at the concert she's been there since 6pm. she told me to be at the subway at around 10 so until then i was at my house looking at people outfits since almost everybody was going to that concert.

mirah hates walking home by herself at night which i don't understand. nothing to be scared of aslong as you know who to stay away from and know where you're going and she knows all of that.

20 minutes passed and i decided to start walking down to where the subway station because i wasn't sure how crowded the streets would be.

it's always crowded when someone has a concert in new york.

once i got downstairs it was one of the security guards that don't care about anything at all. i walked out the building to be hit with the cool breeze outside.

i started walking any all i was hearing from people's conversations were how crowded it was. i really didn't want to walk down to the subway station so i stopped at the corner store and just got back of chips and left out.

"macei what the hell you doing out here so late" i heard somebody say while laughing. i looked up from trying to open my chips and saw taylor.

taylor is sixteen years old she someone i like to call my older sister back then it was me her and dae dae when they dated but that ended.

"i'm always out here" i said laughing walking over to her group of friends they were sitting at a bench some sitting some standing.

"you waiting for mirah?" she asked

"yeah how you know?" i said

"check mirah story she was posting all those clips from that concert" taylor said

"oh" i said shrugging

"what have you been up to" kayla said one of the other people i'm very close to.

"nothing really trying to find stuff to do this summer" i said

"oh i meant to ask you aren't you close with mykel? i think that's his name" taylor said

"yeah i am, wassup?" i said

"why is he hanging out with deshawn?" taylor asked
i laughed a bit only because she said his government name.

"why y'all speaking on me" a voice said behind us making us turn around. everybody else quickly turned back around except me and taylor were not scared of dae dae and never have been.

"why that boy mykel hanging out with you" taylor asked while i sat down next to her.

"what y'all think i'm doing? involving him in my so called 'gang activities' " he said

"yeah that's exactly what we thing" i said laughing

"macei why are you even out here so late" he said leaning on some random persons car

"waiting for somebody" i said

"macei take your ass in the house i always see you here" he said pushing my head.

sometimes i do think if we have one conversation our bond would come back but we never talk anymore.

"i just said i'm waiting for somebody" i said laughing

"i'm not doing anything with mykel im just guiding him" dae said shrugging

"you can't even guide yourself" taylor said making me laugh.

"macei!" someone called out i looked over and saw mirah walking over to me.

"alright i'll see some of y'all soon" i said standing up waiting for mirah to catch up

"you messy huh macei" dae asked

"maybe" i said shrugging and walking away with mirah.

"did you have fun you look tired" i said laughing

"yeah...but why were you talking to deshawn?" mirah asked

"he came up to us and he said he's so called "guiding" mykel" i said rolling my eyes.

"i'll find out by myself" mirah said sighing

"yeah mykel might listen to you he probably hates me now." i said shrugging

"he doesn't hate you he's just stressed probably" mirah said putting her arm around my shoulder.

"oh and by the way ms linda is having a block cookout or party whatever it but you should come" mirah said

"maybe.. sounds fun" i said nodding
