august 20th, finally came.
macei was now all packed, with the help of hailey given the fact they had a sleepover.

"don't fuck around and get a new number mae" hailey said as she helped macei put her bags in the car.

"girl when did i ever even bring up the topic of that" macei said smiling

"... i haven't talked to mirah & them, i guess that's all for this summer and what not but i won't even be in this state to work anything out" macei continued

"yea well phone goes both ways, when you guys feel it's right you'll reach out to eachother" hailey said giving macei a hug.

john f. kennedy international airport.

"okay you got everything right? make sure you text me as soon as you land, i'm not playing macei k, and your father should be there soon as you land too, be nice and don't give those people a hard time an -"
jania rambled

"mom okay girl, i won't give those people a hard time or whatever you talking about" macei said

"hm watch your mouth, now come give me i hug i'm gonna miss you girl" jania said embracing her daughter in a hug.

macei then went to hug all of her family members at the airport before she left, even though she would only be gone for less than a year (🌚)
at this point in life, family was all she had, so they came to support.

macei said her last i love you's before going to her terminal.
