Kitty's POV

Today is Saturday and it's our rest day but Drey and I decided that I'll teach him the Krav Maga. Yesterday, I fought with him and I won because he lacked in his defense. Yet he's actually good at offense.

"In Krav Maga, you must aim on the pressure points of your opponent. The eyes, temples, ears, nose, spine, jaw, throat, solar plexus, ribs, groin, knees, shins, and toes. Got it?" Tumango naman si Drey sa mga sinasabi ko habang tinuturo ang mga parteng iyo sa katawan ko.

"Now, I'll demonstrate it to you. If someone tries to attack you from your back, use your left hand to hold your opponent's hand in front." Pumunta ako sa harapan niya at nilagay ang kamay niya sa leeg ko. Hinawakan ng kaliwang kamay ko ang kaniyang kamay na nasa leeg ko. "While your right hand, put it on your opponent's shirt or collar, then, put force on both of your hands so that you can carry your opponent to your front. It will cause him to stumble in front you." Habang sinasabi ko ito ay ginagawa ko rin ito. Matapos kong gawin iyon ay pumatong ako sa ibabaw ni Drey at umaksyon na umatake sa kaniyang mga mata at leeg. "You can aim wherever you want. If you want it in the eyes, temples, nose, throat, jaw, or ribs, you can do that."

Matapos kong i-demonstrate iyon sa kaniya ay tumayo ako at inabot ang kaniyang kamay para tumayo na. "Did you get it?" tanong ko sa kaniya. Tumango naman siya sa 'kin. "Okay, let's do it again. I'm the attacker from behind and you'll apply what I demonstrated to you."

"Alright." Nilagay ko ang mga kamay ko sa kaniyang leeg, nilagyan ko rin ng pwersa ang mga kamay kong nakapulupot sa kaniya. Gaya ng ginawa ko kanina ay agad niyang inilagay ang kaniyang kamay sa aking kamay at sa kwelyo ng aking uniporme. Matapos niya akong itapon sa kaniyang harapan ay pumatong kaagad siya sa 'kin para kunwaring aatakihin ako. "Tama ba?"

Tumango ako sa kaniya at sinubukan na tumayo ngunit bago makaalis sa ibabaw ko si Drey ay siya ring pagdating ni Gavin. Nang makita kami nito ay tumalikod ito at diretsong umalis. Agad ko namang pinaalis si Drey sa ibabaw ko at hinabol si Gavin.

"Gav!" sigaw ko sa kaniya ngunit hindi ako nito pinansin at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad. "Hey, it's not what you think." Ngunit hindi niya pa rin ako pinansin at nagpatuloy lang ito sa paglalakad papunta sa dorm.

Pag-akyat niya sa ikalawang palapag ay mabilis akong tumakbo at hinila siya papunta sa loob ng kwarto ko. Ako na lang din naman mag-isa sa kwarto ko mula nang umalis si Sachie. "Tinuturuan ko lang si Drey. Promise," sabi ko at tinaas ko pa ang kanang kamay ko pagpasok namin sa loob.

"What?" tanong nito.

"Nagpapaturo kasi siya ng Krav Maga kaya tinuruan ko siya ng mga stunts. It's not what you think," pagpapaliwanag ko. I'm explaining because I like him and I don't want him to misunderstand.

"And what does it have to do with me?" Halos walang mababakas na emosyon sa mga mukha niya habang sinasabi iyon.

"I-i..."

"Didn't I tell you that I don't like you, Menken? So what does it have to do with me?" seryoso pa ring sabi nito.

"I thought-"

"You thought, I like you?" putol nito sa 'kin bago sarkastikong tumawa. Why are you like this, Gavin? Why are you being hot and cold towards me? Sometimes, you're making a move like what happened to your car when I fell asleep and the day you insisted that you want to pick me up in our house, you even took a photo of me and posted it on your IG account. And now, you're being cold.

"Then, why did you do all those things? You insisted on picking me up, when I fell asleep in your car, you-"

"I'm sorry, Ms. Menken but you might have misunderstood me," putol nito sa sinasabi ko at dumiretso sa pintuan para umalis na.

"Hindi mo ba talaga ako gusto kahit kaunti lang? If you like me a little bit, I can wait for you to fully like me back. Gavin... I-i really like you," pigil ang luhang sabi ko.

"We're not on the same page, Katniss," sabi nito bago tuluyang umalis. Napaupo na lang ako sa kama at pinigilan ang sariling umiyak. Sino siya para paulit-ulit akong tanggihan? Am I really unattractive for him?

We're not on the same page? Hah! Is that because he's from a crime family and he might get me in danger if we'll be together? No, he knows I'm capable of fighting. So what reason does he have to say that we're not on the same page?

Isang buntong-hininga ang pinakawalan ko at pinilit ang sariling kalimutan ang nangyari kani-kanina lang. Bumalik ako sa gym, agad ko namang nakita si Drey na nakaupo at umiinom ng tubig. "You're back. Shall we continue?" tanong nito. Tumango ako sa kaniya at bumalik sa pwesto namin kanina.

"What do you want to learn?" tanong ko rito.

"What if someone choke me in front? How am I going to defend myself with that?"

"If someone choke you, what you can do is punch him. You can punch him, you can attack his jaw, temples, you can poke his eyes. You can do a lot of attacks. Let me demonstrate it to you." Lumapit ako sa kaniya at nilagay ang mga kamay niya sa leeg ko. "If someone grabs your throat and you're weaker than him/her, you can raise your hand up outside the attackers hands. You can push your attacker's hand towards your back but while doing that, you should also attack him using your knees."

"Should kick his balls?" tanong nito.

"Yeah, you can kick his groin to weaken him. Then, you'll be able to get away from his choke," sabi ko at kumawala sa pagkakahawak niya. "Let's do it again. I'm the attacker and you're the victim." Lumapit ako sa kaniya at agad na hinawakan ang kaniyang leeg. Mabilis naman ang naging reaksyon niya at ginawa ang mga itinuro ko sa kaniya.

Matapos ko siyang turuan ay sabay na kaming pumunta sa canteen para kumain. Nakita ko pa si Gavin sa kabilang table ngunit hindi ko na siya binigyang pansin at kumain na lang.

"What level are you in Krav Maga, by the way?"

"Level 5, brown belter," maikling sagot ko rito.

"Are you trained,Kitty?"

"Yeah, sabay pa nga tayong nagt-training," sagot ko at mahinang tumawa.

"I mean, you're really good at Krav Maga. Not just that, you're good at everything-at fighting. So the rumors are not all lies," sabi nito bago sumubo.

"Rumors?"

"Yes, they said you're someone not to be messed with. Someone also said that you attacked someone back then. Leaving your victim unable to stand."

"Oh?"
