"Everyone this is Desiree" Edwin says . The room fills with "hi , hello" all that stuff . I wave to them "hey" I say and I follow Edwin to couch we sit next to each other "you are pretty like Edwin said" Maggie says "thank you" I say "so how's Edwin treating you" Brandon ask "umm so far so good" I say as I feel my foot being tapped and I look down and it's Theo "aww" I say "sorry about him" Ansley says and grabs him "oh no it's totally fine" I say "he's even cuter In person" I say "thank you" Austin says "my daughter is obsessed with Theo"
Ansley smiles "aww do you mind showing me a picture of her" she ask "lemme get my phone out" I say and I look through my camera roll before clicking one and handing her my phone "oh she's so cute" she says "thank you" I say "I wanna see" Maggie says and I grab my phone before handing it to Maggie "aww she is , what's her name" Maggie ask as she hands my phone back to me
"Kamryn" I say "with a K" I add "I love that name for a girl" Ansley says "Where her dad at" Zion just says "Zion" Edwin says "oh my bad" Zion says "don't pay him any mind" Maggie says "I ain't know my bad" Zion adds "it's fine" I say "he left when I told him and he's been in and out of jail his whole life so I have no idea what he's up to" I say
"How old is your daughter" Nick ask "she's 5"
He looks at me "you look young" he says "well I had her at 16" I say "oh woah" he says "shut up a*shole" Edwin says and I smile "it's okay , I'm so glad I did tho , I wouldn't change anything" I say "exactly" Ansley says "you work?" Austin ask "I have a real estate company, I got a scholarship and I did one year in school and 1 online as parents had Kamryn most of the time during the first year" I say "wow that's impressive" Nick says
"That's what I said" Edwin adds "so I make good money" I chuckle "as long as my daughter is happy" I say "Being a mother is the best thing ever"
Ansley says "it so is" I smile at her holding Theo
(3 hours later) So these are my friends now lol. No but for real I got to know all of them , they got to know me . Basically friends . "Well I have to get going to pick my daughter up from school" I say "it was great meeting you" Ansley says "you are our new Bestie" Maggie says and I stand up as I smile
"it was great meeting you all too" I say "come over we could always use another girl In the house" Maggie says "and bring your daughter" Brandon says "maybe soon" I say and they nod "I'll see you guys later" I say as we all wave goodbye
Edwin walks me out as we reach my car "see that wasn't bad" he says "not at all" I say "coming over again soon?" He ask "definitely" I reply "bring Kamryn" he says "she's gonna freak when she comes here and when she finds out I'm friends with them and especially if something happens with this" I say and he smiles "bring her whenever you want to" he says "we'll see" I smile "I'll call you later" I say "text me when you get home so I know you're okay" he says "your sweet , and I will" I say
"Bye Edwin" I get in my car as he closes my door "bye Desiree"
"Hi baby" I pick my Kamryn up as she runs out the school "mommy we had pizza and ice cream" he says "oh that sounds like so much fun" I say "it was then we watch movies and I colored a picture for you" she says "it's in my bag" she adds "well you can show me when we get home" I say as I put her in her seat "what did you do today momma" she ask "ummm I stayed home and did work stuff" I say before closing her door and getting in my seat
(The house) I just texted Edwin that I was home "here mama" she hands me a picture of a flower "oh it's beautiful" I smile at her "it's gonna go right on the fridge" I say and I put it on "looks amazing" I say "That party made me tired" she hugs my legs "why don't we watch a movie and lay on the couch" i ask her "Princess and the Frog" she says "yes girl" I high five her before we sit on the couch and I put it on
(30 minutes later) Kamryn fell right to sleep not even 10 minutes into the movie she was out. She seems a little under the weather. I really hope she isn't getting sick , I hate when she gets sick .
My phone dings and I see a text from Edwin
"Everyone loved you" he text and I smile
"I'm glad cause you know I was nervous" I text
"You had nothing to worry about" he text back
"I'll talk to you tomorrow🤍" I bite my lip
"Yeah you will"
(The next morning) Kamryn is sick ugh my baby.
She didn't sleep good all night meaning I didn't sleep good . I let her stay home from school today.
She has a cold and a headache , she also says her stomach hurts and I feel so bad. She needs medication but I can't find any in my cabinets .
Plus I can't leave her here and I can't take her into the store . My parents are out today and my brother
can't watch her today . But she needs medication.
I don't know who else co- Edwin! I grab my phone as Kamryn lays upstairs in her bed. I dial Edwins number and after only 1 ring he answers the phone.
"Hello" he says "Edwin" I say "hey" he says "listen I need a favor" I say "what's up" he says "my daughter is sick and I really need you to go the store and pick up some Tylenol for her , the kid kind" I say "I must of ran out and I can't leave her to go get some or take her cause she's sick" I add
"My parents can't-" he cuts me off "relax , I'll get it" he chuckles. I take a deep breath "thank you" I say ."Of course" he says "I'll send you my address" I say "I'll text you when I'm at your house" he says "okay thank you Edwin" I say again "No need to thank me , see you inna little bit"

I'm sitting next to Kamryn "medicine will be here soon" I smile at her "how is it coming" she ask "just one of mommy's friends" I tell her "who?" She ask "just someone baby" I don't wanna tell her damn Edwin is bringing her medication. "Do you want anything to drink" I ask "ice cream" she says "honey I said a drink , you need drink something" I ask "Apple juice" she says "okay I'll be back"
I walk downstairs just as my phone rings , it's Edwin . I look out the window and see his car and answer his phone call "hey I'll be out" I say "okay lol you see me?" He ask "yeah" I smile before he looks at me through the window and waves making me laugh "yup I see you" he adds "I'll be out"
I get Kamryn's apple juice and set it on the counter
I walk out and to his car . He hands me a bag then I look at it and it's the right type "your the best" I say "thanks darling" he says and I giggle. "Is she okay?" He ask "just a cold and stomachache" I say "aww poor Kamryn" he says "yeah I feel so bad" I stick my bottom lip out "call me if you need anything else" he says and I kiss his cheek "woah" he smiles "just because you did something for my daughter" I smile "anytime Desiree" he nods
"I'll call you when she goes to sleep" I wave goodbye "okay see you soon" I walk back into the house , grab her juice and walk upstairs "here Kammy take this" I say and sit by her "it's nasty" she says "but it will make you feel so much better" I say "I don't wanna , I don't like it" she turns her head "Kamryn please , it's gonna help" I say "I don't wanna fight with you over this , please just take it" I add and she looks at me "it will take 2 seconds" she sighs "okay" she whispers and I hand her the lil measurement cup and she takes it
"See good job" I say "now drink this" I hand her the apple juice as she then takes a sip "I'll put it here and you rest" I put her juice on the table next to her bed "I'll check on you inna little"
