(1 week later) We been going over the boys a lot lately. I mean basically everyday . I feel she's starting to like them not just because they are Prettymuch . Edwin and I are getting .... closer
too. I really like how everything is going with us
"When are we going" Kamryn been asking me for so long "in a couple minutes, I can't find my car keys" I say "mommy I wanna see Prettymuch" she says "I know but we need the car keys" I say "we can walk" she says "no it takes to long to walk" I chuckle "maybe you can help me so we can find them farther" I say "I'll look in the fridge" she says and I laugh while she actually looks in there .
(10 minutes later) "here mama" she hands me that keys "thank you love , where were they" I ask "in the coat" she says and I smile "you are a great finder" I say "now we can go" she follows me outside to the car. I put her in her booster seat before getting in the drivers seat. "Are you ready to go" I say "I wanna go hear music that's not even out yet" she smirks and I laugh "wow you get the unreleased music" I drive the car and say
"We are back" I open the boys front door "Kamryn" Zion says . Zion likes her lol, they get along well
"Hi everyone" she says and runs over to them "Bestie" Maggie says "Bestie" Kamryn says and I laugh "hi Kamryn" Nick says "hi guys" she says and sits next to Maggie . She really likes Maggie and Ansley . "Wheres Theo" she ask "Austin and Ansley had to take him to a doctors appointment"
Brandon says and I sit in the chair as the front door opens for Edwin to walk in spotting me first
He smiles and I smile as I bite my lip . I turn away not wanting Kamryn to see anything "hi Edwin" Kamryn says "hey girl" he says and closes the door
"I like your shoes Maggie" Kamryn says "thanks Kam" she says "I like yours too" Maggie says making Kamryn smile "so Brandon" Kamryn says and he turns to her "got any music I can hear"
Brandon chuckles "ehh we got little parts of some the boys and I need to work on them" Brandon tell her. "But when we get them done I'll show you" she nods at him "Wheres Simba" Kamryn ask
"With my mom" Zion says "Mandy" Kamryn says and Zion chuckles "yup that's her name" he says
"Hey Desiree can you come help me with something" I hear Edwin say. Kamryn just thinks me and him are friends like I am with the others . I mean I am but obviously there's something a little more with us. "Yeah" I stand up and I follow him to the back porch "what you need help with" I say sarcastically "you know I don't need help with anything" he says and grabs my hands "you liar"
I giggle "I love when you come over" he says "I like coming over to see Maggie and Ansley" I say "you always leave me out" he says "you know I'm only kidding" I say "I like seeing you the most" I smile "I know" he says "do you like where this is going" he ask "us?" I question and he nods
"Yeah I do" I say "good , cause I do too" he agrees "why don't we go back before Kamryn starts looking for me" I say and he walks in behind me back into the house where everyone is sitting "Mommy , Nick said he's gonna teach some dance moves" Kamryn tells me and I smile "oh for real" I sit back on the chair again. "I'm gonna be a better dancer than him" she says "better dancer-" I cut Nick off "she's 5 , let her think whatever"
I whisper and he nods "right a better dancer" Nick nods "anyone hungry cause I am" Edwin ask "of course" Maggie says "we should order some food" Brandon suggest "from where" Zion ask "i don't know look on DoorDash or something like that"
Kamryn walks up to me "I have to go to the bathroom" she whispers "okay come on"
I grab her hand "be right back" I say and take her upstairs to the bathroom on the right
(Edwin) "I like Kamryn" Zion says "wow , change of heart" Nick ask "I never said I didn't like her , all I said was that I don't do kids but I like her" He says "Edwin , how you feeling" Maggie ask me "amazing" I answer "you really like her huh?" She ask and I nod "I do , she's great" I smile at the thought of Desiree "I understand you like her but she has a whole daughter" Nick says "parenting isn't easy" he adds "I mean you ain't the dad , but you're walking into Desiree's life wanting to be with her , so you're also walking into Kamryn's life" he adds "he's right for the first time ever"
Is what Maggie says "don't be rude now" Nick says her "I mean I get but that's what I'm willing to do" I say "when I asked for her number , you don't thought about the daughter before that" I say "no I don't think you did" Brandon says "yoo" I say "listen we are just looking out , a kid is whole different type of a responsibility" Maggie says "guys seriously I get it" I say "just don't expect all this to come easy" Nick says "it's obviously not gonna be easy , I know that" I say "and you can't just dip when things get hard" Zion says
"Shii that's what her baby daddy did" I chuckle "Edwin" Maggie says and they all look behind me
"What?" I ask and I look to meet Desiree's eyes
(Desiree) I walk to the stairs with Kamryn as we hear everyone talking . Not really worried about Kam hearing cause I'm pretty sure she won't understand "and you can't just dip when things get hard" I hear Zion say as I walk downstairs slowly "shii that's what her baby daddy did" Edwin laughs and says as I reach the bottom of the stairs "Edwin"
Maggie spots me first then the boys "what" he says before turning around to look at me "that wasn't funny" I say "is him leaving a joke to you" I ask and he stands up "I didn't mean that I-" I cut him off "no you meant it , you're just saying you didn't cause I heard what you said" I say "we have to go" I say "Desiree listen" he says "my daughter and I have to go" I say "but-" I cut him off again
"Stop trying me in front of my daughter , remember she doesn't know anything about this" I whisper to him "we are going home and I don't call me for the rest of the day" I whisper before picking Kamryn up and walking out the front door to my car
(Edwin) she closes the door after walking out "shii" I shout "you did that to yourself" Maggie says "Maggie not now" I say "I'm sorry but what you said really wasn't cool at all" she adds "yeah I know" I tell her and them "now what do I do" I ask
"This sounds like a pp , person problem" Zion says and walks out "a*shole" I say "but he's right, we can't help you with this , you made the problem now solve it yourself" Brandon says and they all stand up
"thanks a lot guys" I say "your welcome" Maggie says "Go to Brandon's room" I tell her "I am , with him" she says and they go to his room leaving just Nick and I "imma tell you this , don't bother her for the rest of the day but tonight text her Goodnight and that you're sorry and leave it at that" he says "thanks" I say "no problem man"
(Desiree) (9:30pm) I kiss Kamryn's cheek as she lays in her bed about to go to bed . "I love you" I say "I love you" she whispers cause of how tired she is. I close her and walk into my room about to lay down. That is before my phone buzzes twice.
I look to see a iMessage notification pop up

I open my phone and go to my iMessage app

I read the two messages but don't respond . I close
my phone and put it on my nightstand before laying my head on the pillow and falling asleep.
