(5 days later) "eat the Candy before your mom come back" I hear Nick talking to Kamryn "Nick don't give my daughter that sour ass Candy" I say
"I'm not" he yells "hurry take it" he whispers to her "wow" I say . Kamryn and I are currently at the boys house . I'm sitting on their couch with Edwin , Maggie and Zion . Austin and Ansley aren't here. Brandon is on his way back from the store . Nick walks in with Kamryn hiding behind him "Kamryn what do you have" I ask
"She has nothing" Nick says "I was asking my daughter" I say "well Desiree" Nick says "Kamryn" I say "yes" I hear her "did Nick give you candy" I ask and Nick turns around and tells her something
"No he would never give me Candy if you said no" she says "Nick you just told her to say that" I laugh
"man come on Kamryn" Nick picks her up and takes her to the back door "where are you taking her" I ask "the trampoline" he says and walks out with Kamryn in his arms . I shake my head and smile . Not only is Edwin great with her but the other boys are awesome with Kamryn too.
Edwin lays his head on my shoulder "tired bub?" I ask "no I just wanna lay on you" he says "look at the lovebirds eww" Zion says "don't hate cause you have no girl" I say "I can get one" Zion says "go ahead" Edwin says "leave me alone" Zion says and I giggle before looking at Edwin. The door opens and Brandon walks in with like 3 bags "Edwin" he says "haven't seen you inna while ever since Desiree stole you from us" he looks at me and says
"and?" I ask "oh and Kamryn stole him too with her cuteness" Brandon sits by Maggie and says "well Edwin is ours now" I say and Edwin chuckles "it's true" Edwin says "speaking of Kam , where is she?" Brandon ask "on the trampoline with Nick" I answer . "I'm here now" Kamryn basically drags Nick in the house "hi Brandon" she adds "hey" he says "you Ight Nick" Zion ask and laughs "she made me get off" he says "and you listened to a 5 year old" I ask "yes she's very bossy" he says and sits down as Kamryn sit down in between Maggie and Brandon .
(Night) Kamryn and I are gonna sleep here at the boys house in Edwins room with him . Since he always sleeps at my house we decided to switch.
Currently the 2 of us are on Edwins bed as Kamryn is asleep on the big bean bag chair which is she chose to sleep in . She looks real little in the chair.
"Desiree" he says and I look at him "why is my bed less comfy then yours" he ask and I giggle "I don't know" I answer as my phone rings "be right back , it's my mom" I walk into the bathroom attached to his room before answering the phone call.
"Hi mom" I say "hey honey how are you" she ask "I'm doing good" I tell her "what are you up to" she ask "Kamryn and I are with Edwin" I say "oh that's nice" she says "but umm I was calling cause tomorrow we are having dinner and I thought you and Kamryn should come . You can even bring Edwin" she says and sigh "mom I'm not sure" I say
"honey your dad might not like it but I want to meet him" she tells me "I'll talk to him and we will think about it" I state "okay that's , I love you" she says
"I love you too mom" then I hang up . I walk back into the room and sit next to him "everything okay?" Edwin ask "my mom wants the 3 of us to come to dinner tomorrow night" I turn to him and say "how do you feel about that" he ask "no how do you feel" I ask "listen I'll go" he says "but my dad"
He smiles "it's up to you , but just know I will go , I do wanna go" he nods "okay . We can go" I say "but if anything even one small thing happens we are leaving" I tell him "deal"
(The next night) (dinner) we get out the car which is parked in front of my parents house. I pick Kamryn up as Edwin walks behind me with one hand on my lower back "are ready" I ask and he nods "sure , I don't want you to be nervous" I say "yes darling, now come on" he says and I open the door "smells good" he whispers . I walk in as my mom turns around from the kitchen, my brother and his girlfriend Rachel. I don't see my dad in here.
"Desiree Kamryn hi" my mom says "hey mom" I hug her as Kamryn hugs her too. She turns to Edwin "Edwin right?" She ask "yes" he says "well hello I am Desiree's mother" she says and they shake hands "hi Mrs.Cannon" he smiles "handsome one" she whispers to me but Edwin hears. He chuckles "he is" I agree as we walk to my brother.
"Hey man , I'm Demetrius" he says "her brother right?" Edwin ask "yeah" they shake hands and he introduce himself to Rachel. "Where's dad"
I go over to my mom "office" she says and I nod "hey I'll be back" I say to Edwin as him and Kamryn sit on the couch as they talk to my brother and his girlfriend . I knock on my dads office door.
"Come in" I walk in and he looks up "Desiree" he says "dad" I say "are you here for dinner" he says "yes and I wanted to say mom invited us" I say
"by us you mean you and Kamryn" he says "by us I mean me , Kamryn and Edwin" he sighs "dad listen , do not be rude to him or say anything stupid to him" I demand "he doesn't want this, he knows how you feel and he still respects you" I say
"So don't start any stupid arguments or do anything to upset him or me" I say "you can not tell me what to do in my own house" he says "DAD!" I yell and his eyes widened "get it together, quit being that this , you can change anything" I say "Edwin is apart of this family and I don't care how you feel" I say "if you didn't like Edwin for a real good reason I would care but you just don't want him to take care of Kamryn for some stupid reason" I say "so please be nice during dinner" I walk out and make eye contact with Edwin . I sit next to him and lay my head on his shoulder "everyone heard you yell dad" he says "he's so complicated" I whine
"It's okay" he kisses my forehead "Edwin if he says anything rude you don't have to stay , you can go" I say "I just hope he's nice" I add "I'll be here for you" he smiles . Kamryn sits in between us. "Edwin" she says "what" he says "my grandma has ice cream for dessert" she tells him "Oouu" he says and she giggles before laying on him "hey I was laying there first" I joke . Kamryn looks at Edwin
I see my dad walk out and look over before going towards my mom. "Can I get my spot back" I ask Kamryn "nope" she grabs Edwins arm.
(Demetrius) I walk over to my mom and dad . My dad just looks at Desiree , Kamryn and Edwin. "Seriously dad" I say "what!?" He says "be happy for your daughter" I say "that's not okay" he points "she is happy , your granddaughter is also happy" i say "look at them , they love each other" I add
"Don't take that away" i tell him "what if they get married one day , are you gonna walk her down the aisle or no" I ask "what if they have another baby , are you not gonna accept your new grandchild"
I question and he looks at me "think about it"
(Desiree) (1 hour later) we all sit down at the table and I'm so nervous right now literally holy shii.
Kamryn sits in the middle of Edwin and I . "Mrs.Cannon this smells amazing" Edwin says "thank you , I hope you enjoy" she says .
10 minutes go by of everyone talking and my mom getting to know Edwin. My dad hasn't talked but I just feel something coming. "Edwin" I hear my dad and all eyes turn to my dad "yes sir" Edwin says "you love my daughter?" He ask "yes I really do" he answers "my granddaughter" my dad ask "yes I love them both very much" Edwin says. "Kamryn" my dad calls her "yeah" Kamryn says "is Edwin good with you" he ask her "very" she says and I smile at her "after dinner Edwin I would like to talk to you in my office" he says and Edwin nods
(1 hour later) Edwin has been in the office with my dad for like 15 minutes already . I just hope everything is okay. Then he walks out with smile on his face and sits by me "we're good" he smiles "really" I ask and he nods "everything is handled" he says just as my dad comes out "Desiree I would like to apologize for what I have said and did" he says "I can see that Edwin makes you and Kamryn very happy and I love that" he adds "you are my daughter and you are grown so I support your decision , I'm happy for you" he says and I stand up before hugging my dad "thank you so much"
(Desiree's house at night) "I'll put Kamryn to bed" Edwin says to me "okay , make sure you turn her nightlight one" he nods before grabbing Kamryn "goodnight and I love you Kammy" I kiss her cheek "I love you too mommy" she says and Edwin with Kamryn is his arms walks out .
(Edwin) Kamryn lays down after I hug her . "Goodnight Kamryn" I tuck her in and smile "goodnight Edwin" she says and I walk to the door "Kamryn" I say "yes" she answers "I love you" I tell her and she looks at me in silence before smiling at me "I love you too" I let a deep breath out . I was worried she wouldn't say it back.
