(Edwin) Veronica , damn Veronica walks in. I haven't seen her in over year after she cheated on me and left LA . She left in 2019 without doing or saying anything. The day after I caught her cheating she left to go to who knows where. She steps in line . She looks beautiful, more than she ever did.
Our donuts get put down on our table . Now we have to wait till Desiree comes back in so we can go.
Veronica looks and looks at me before walking over me and Kamryn's way . She steps in front of our table making Kamryn look up at Veronica look down."Edwin" she says and I don't say anything I just look at her "who's this" she ask "no one you need to worry about" I speak up "I don't remember meeting this little sister , did you have a secret daughter and didn't tell me" she smiles "Veronica what could you possibly be bothering me for" I ask
"Well I came back yesterday and i came here today and look who I see , you" she says "so I thought why not walk over" she adds "Edwin-" Kamryn goes to say but Veronica cuts her off "shush" she says to Kamryn "hey don't, don't even" I say "who even is this Edwin" She slams her hands on the table and ask "What is wrong with you" I say "can you not be like this in front of a child" I ask
"I came back looking for you , wanting you and I come back and you're taking care of some bitch's daughter" she says "Veronica watch your mouth , I don't know who you think you are but you will not try to walk back into my life after what you did and you will not talk about her mother life that" I say "oh what is her mom your girlfriend or something, what are you a stepdad" she laughs "where she at anyways" she says just as she comes behind her
"Right here" Desiree says making Veronica stand up straight and turn around
(Desiree) who does this girl think she is calling me a b*tch and all that. "Where she at anyways" I walk up behind her "right here" I say and she turns around with a fake a*s smile. "Oh it's you who is trying to steal Edwin and suck I'm into being a dad huh" she ask "you know nothing" I say "I can tell" she says "looks like he cares about your daughter" she says "what? Is he your boyfriend?" She ask
"Boyfriend?" Kamryn says and I look at her .
"This doesn't Involve you now be quiet" she turns around and I whip her around by her shoulder "don't touch me" she says "don't talk to my f*cking daughter" I demand "or what" she ask "really?" I say "what are you gonna do , you're a mother" she says "your daughter is here" she says "stop talking about my daughter" I say "why don't we go" Edwin stands with Kamryn next to him and Edwin somewhat pushes out the door
But she follows us "yeah leave" she says as we are now outside as Edwin hold the donuts and Kamryn hold some too "get out of here Veronica" Edwin says and I around and step closer to her "don't do it" she says "you wouldn't want your daughter to see how her mother really acts" She smiles
Didn't I tell her to stop talking about Kamryn . My eye widened and I slap her across the face "mommy" Kamryn says "WHAT THE HELL" Veronica yells "I told you do not talk about my daughter" I say "Edwin control your hoe" she says "HOE?" I yell and Edwin steps in front of me "take Kamryn to the car and go in the car" he says "are you serious right now" I whisper yell "..... Kamryn is here" he says and I look at her . She kinda looks worried "fine" I pick Kamryn up and walk away
(Edwin) Desiree walks away with Kamryn "yeah walk-" I cut Veronica off "Shut up , shut up" I say and she crosses her arms "you have no right to walk up in here and disrespect them" I say "you-" I cut her off again "F*ck no , don't ever talk about them again , and you think I'm playing but I'm not" I add "you and me are absolutely nothing not one thing" I say "stay out our way" I state "aww a family" she says sarcastically "something you won't ever have cause you can't keep a boyfriend or stay loyal" her jaw doors slightly before I walk away to Desiree's car
(Desiree) I'm sitting in the passenger seat irritated as Kamryn is in her seat eating a donut . "Mommy why did you hit that girl" she says and I hate that she seen me do that. "She was just being a mean person but don't go around hitting people" I say "I didn't mean to do that , I don't want you doing that"
I add and I see her nod "I'm sleepy"'she says "well take a nap and I'll wake you up when we get back to someone's house" I tell her as i see her closing her eyes and falling asleep right away. I walk to the car and get in the drivers seat . I sit there not starting the car just yet as Kamryn is asleep in the back
"I'm really sorry about her" I say "just drive" Desiree says as she looks out the window
(Desiree) (10 minutes later) there's traffic always is. We been stuck in traffic for about 5 minutes don't know how long this will take. "Desiree I-" I cut Edwin off "don't" I say "we have to talk" he says "no we do not" I say "you know we do" I see him look my way out the corner of my eye. "Kamryn is asleep we can talk" I add "talk about what , how you think Kamryn's dad leaving is funny" i say
I look at him "It's not funny and I didn't mean it that way" he says "you said and laughed" I say "I know and I'm sorry" he says "it was disrespectful" I tell him "I know that" he says "then why would you say it" I ask "I don't know , it just came to my mind as soon as Zion said something about leaving when it gets hard" he answers "but I didn't mean for you to feel disrespected" he adds "to late"
I look away "it's not funny , just when it said it a small chuckle came out , Desiree I didn't mean to make you upset" he says "I really didn't , I get you're mad and you should be but I honestly didn't mean to make you feel the way you fee" he states but I don't say anything until I see that the traffic starts to move "go"
(Prettymuch house) he parks my car and I grab my stuff "wait" he says and locks the doors "don't try no crazy shii with me" I say "what you think I'm doing kidnapping you?" He ask and I nod "no , but we have to talk still" he says "Edwin" I complain "no I'm not gonna go another day with you mad at me , I don't like it" he says "I don't know what else you want me to say except I'm sorry" he says
"You know you really made me upset when you said that" I look at him and say "i know and I'm sorry" he smiles "but please forgive me" he says . I sigh "fine" I say and can't help but smile "finally" he says "I missed having our late night FaceTime call last night" he says and I smile "I did too" I say "and damn you really smacked the hell outta of Veronica" he says "I don't play when it comes to my daughter" I tell him "I could tell and I like that"
I reach over and grab his chin lightly before pressing my lips against his as he kisses me back
