*two weeks later*

                 It was now officially a whole week until tatums 14th birthday, her first birthday with her dad, ever, and she couldn't wait.  She doesn't care about presents at all, she just wants to spend the day with jay and Will, and hailey too since she has taken a huge liking to jays partner and 'soon to be girlfriend' from the way they look at each other.  Tatum found herself sat in the break room on this sunny Saturday afternoon while her dad was busy at work, hank didn't mind when Tatum comes to work with jay since she just sits in the break room quietly and lets them work, a win win.  She was working on her biology project when her phone rang, she looked at the caller ID and saw that it was one of the girls from her home room, she didn't hate the girl but she found her really annoying...

                 She hated ignoring people so she answered the call and sighed before putting the phone up to her ear.
Jessalyn: "hey girly, my moms taking me to the mall in an hour, wanna come?"
Tatum: "oh well I uh, I'd need to ask my dad first..."
Jessalyn: "great, go ask him!"
Tatum: "oh yeah, okay..."

                 She rolled her eyes and stood up, she stayed on the call and held the phone up to her ear as she walked out of the break room and stepped into the bullpen ever so slightly.  She looked around before calling for her dad in a bored tone, "dad..." she huffed.  Everyone looked up despite her only asking for jay and stared at her, jay nodded, "yeah?" He furrowed his brows at her unreadable face.  Tatum sighed slightly, "Jess is going to the mall with her mom in an hour, can I go?" She asked him, fully knowing jessalyn could hear her down the phone, but immediately started throwing hand signs to her dad.  Jay nodded, "sure" he replied without lifting his head up from his computer again.

                  The whole team watched as tatums face dropped and began waving to get his attention, hailey smirked a little, already knowing what she wanted jay to do, and nudged his leg under the table, he finally looked back up to see Tatum signalling to him, "say no..." she mouthed to him and cut her hand across her neck as a definite no.  Jay furrowed his brows, "n-no...you're grounded?" He tilted his head, just guessing that's what she was telling him to say.  Tatum smiled thankfully and put her thumb up before turning her attention back to her phone, "did you hear that? I'm grounded, sorry Jess" she spoke falsely, not really feeling sorry, and began walking back into the break room. 

                  Jay looked around at the team who were laughing and shaking their heads, "what the hell just happened?" He smirked at hailey a little.  Hailey shrugged, "she obviously doesn't wanna go, good job you cottoned on" she shook her head and covered her smirk as Tatum reappeared in the bullpen.  Jay nodded, "what was that little performance for?" He raised an eyebrow, referring to the fact that the whole team saw her desperately wave her arms at him.  Tatum huffed, "I'm not really a fan of Jess, she's a girl in my home room. I only talked to her because she was sat on her own, but now she won't stop talking to me" she looked around and smiled at the unit who just laughed at her goofiness.  Jay nodded slowly, "right...and why's that bad?" He shrugged.  Tatum folded her arms, "because all she talks about is her boyfriend, and quite frankly, I don't care" she shook her head. 

                   Jay nodded slowly, "okay then, anything else?" He smiled slightly but just looked at her in awe, she's like a mini version of himself.  Tatum shook her head, "nope, that's it. Shows over people" she swivelled on her heels and slid back into the break room.  Kim laughed, "that kid is my spirit animal, she really is special" she shook her head and smiled the. got on with her work again.  Jay smiled as they all agreed with the brunette, "she's special alright" he shook his head, everyday was a new thing with her, wether it be gossip from school, Tatum deciding to do something stupid like making her and jay hats out of tinfoil or even the teenager tripping over air since she's one of the clumsiest kids you'll ever meet.  Hailey just smiled, she got to share these funny moments with him since she was at the halstead household a lot...

Back at home hailey was sat with the two Halsteads on the couch watching a film, yes, Tatum has officially changed her last name to Halstead at last. The pair had noticed that Tatum has been saying the same catchphrase over and over again at completely random times, but both of them had no clue what she was nattering on about. That was until this very moment when jay had heard the same catchphrase one too many times in the past half hour, Tatum was sat in between the pair with her legs folded, "RIP that...ayyyy" she swung her arms forwards then out to the side, giving her body a little shake.  Jay furrowed his brows at hailey, "what are you chatting about?" He nudged her arm.  Tatum laughed, "do it, go on" she couldn't contain her giggle.  Jay shook his head, "not until you tell me what it is" she smirked at hailey who was smiling at the giggling teenager.

                  Tatum composed herself and smirked, "it's a tiktok..." she laughed again, purely just imagining jay doing the tiktok.  Jay raised his eyebrows, "a tiktok?" He pulled a face.  Tatum sighed, "c'mon dad, it's an app where you make videos so you have to make one with me" she stood up and grabbed her phone before pulling up that sound on tiktok.  Jay threw his head back and stayed sat down until Tatum had finished setting up her phone on the TV stand, she grabbed his arm and pulled him up.  She didn't even give him a warning before pressing record and making that tiktok, jay just stood next to her watching her act like a complete clown, but that's why he loves her, because she doesn't care what people think.  She stood there laughing her head off when she was done so he picked her up over his shoulder and flopped back down onto the couch as she clutched her phone, still giggling away.

                  Hailey just smiled, their bond is rather unique, "that giggle is so dirty..." she laughed as jay flopped his daughter onto the couch.  Tatum laughed, "I know..." she giggled again only leaving the adults to laugh along with her.  Tatum smirked, "you're a pretty crap dancer" she looked at her dad.  Hailey nodded, "you can say that again" she laughed too.  Jay just shook his head, but there they were, his two favourite girls in the whole entire world.  They began watching the film again when Tatum rested her head on haileys shoulder, hailey was a little taken aback by the child's actions but she happily wrapped her arm around her and pulled her into a hug from the side.  Jay just watched in awe, he can't wait to wife hailey up one day...
