Chp:-8 Dream

It's been a week since we attended that party in the Ramakrishnan mansion. It's been one full week since I saw Neel or spoke to him.

From past 3 days Neel has been trying to talk to me. He texted me called me but I avoided. I need some time and space. When I left the party I was FURIOUS. I needed time to cool off.

I was lying on my bed just looking at the ceiling.

It was a boring Monday morning. I had nothing to do. I have decided that I won't think about my results and spoil my holidays. Today it's 10th June and our results will be out on 10th July that is exactly 1 month later.
Convocation will be held a week after that probably, that the college people haven't specified yet.

The USMLE and MCAT exams results will be out on 9th of July, that is the day when I'll come to know whether my dream to go to the USA for further studies will come true or not. Hoping and praying for the best to happen.

I've been to the USA like twice. My dad's elder brother my periappa lives in Virginia. It's my second home. I have lots of memories and attachment from the USA.

I'm so bored right now I don't know what to do. I've literally read all the books that we have at home twice.

I spent full the entire month of May either reading or doing my daily music riaz (practice). Surprisingly I'm not in a mood to do my riaz also this is happening for the first time. I always make sure that I keep myself occupied.

But today I'm feeling super dull God knows why. Argh....I miss studying. Yaya I'm a weirdo I'm among those people who loves to study I know that!

I texted Shauri and Jiya yesterday. Shauri has gone to Bombay to be with his parents and from there he went to Dubai for the holidays. Jiya has gone to Singapore for holidays. Her sister lives there with her husband so she has gone there to spend time with her.

I'm not really in touch with Advay and Saumya so I really don't know about them like where they are what they're upto etc etc.

How I want to go somewhere for holidays like I need an escapade so badly. I can't even talk to Appa as he seems to be very busy with his office and stuff. Mom and grandma are busy with their Carnatic music class exams that they conduct every year for their students.

I came back from my world of thoughts once I heard a knock on my room's door.

I yelled, "door is open please come in."

Dad entered. I chuckled. He always knocks my room's door when I keep it closed. Such a gentleman!

Dad said, "hello Ani kanna what are you doing?"

I said, "nothing appa just I've been feeling super dull these days. This has never happened with me. I've always kept myself occupied. I don't have anything to do. I'm so bored. Surprisingly I don't even feel like doing riaz that's something which I love to do. None of my friends are here. Shauri is in Dubai, Jiya is in Singapore and Ani is in Cochin at his grandparent's house. I've read all the books that we have like twice I'm not joking I really did."

Dad chuckled and said, "oh so this is why you have become so quiet these days. Me and your amma were concerned. After that party we attended you've become so quiet and dull. We even thought for a moment that you had a big fight with Neel or something but then we know when you patch up within seconds. After all my two little monkeys can't live without each other."

I chuckled humourlessly inwardly. He has no idea that this was kind of a big fight or I should say ugly fight. We've never had such a fight and a huge gap of one week. That's how it used to be between me and Neel we used to fight a lot but we could never stay angry at each other for even one minute. Unfortunately people change with time. I sighed.
