Chapter Six
Some New, Some Old

"You've got everything, right?"

Dean asked as she picked up her bags and slid them over her shoulder, she smiled at him but before she could answer, Cas was pulling her into a hug.

"You will remember to phone as well?" he asked.

"Yes," Emma nodded as she pulled away and looked at her dad, "and yes, I've got everything. I'm all packed and ready for a new adventure."

"Of course you are," Dean grumbled in a mutter.

Cas and Emma ignored him and got in another hug before he kissed her temple and took a step back to Dean. Sam glanced between the three, still amazed by the disguised spaceship telephone box in the middle of the bunker, but what managed to amaze him, even more, was how despite his brother's mutters and mumbles, he was surprisingly okay with Emma just going off with an alien.

"Remember to carry your weapons at all times," Dean reminded her as she gave Sam a quick hug he happily returned.

"I remember, Dad."

The TARDIS' light started glowing and the familiar whirring sound began, it was faint at first but with every second that passed, it grew louder and louder.

"Okay, I've got to go," Emma smiled at them.

"I love you, Emma," Dean said, kissing her forehead, "please be safe."

"I love you too, Dad, and I love Papa," she looked at Cas who smiled back, "and I love you too, Uncle Sam."

"Love you too, kid," Sam nodded and waved as she pushed the blue door open and vanished inside.

Emma looked at the Doctor as she set her bags down on the ramp, he was happily focused and pushing buttons left, right, and center before also pulling a switch down and then settling his gaze on her with a wild grin on his face.

"So, where are we going?" she beamed with a bright smile and skipped over to him.

"Further than we've ever gone before," he replied.

The TARDIS shook and shuddered as it rocketed through time and space the best feeling in the world if you asked Emma. It was exciting and thrilling, and it also could take them anywhere at any time.

Perfect.

And when the whirring sound quietened down and the trembling movement calmed they ran down the ramp and to the door. Emma was the first one out with the Doctor right behind her, he loved the look in her eyes and the face she'd make every time they arrived somewhere new.

Astonishment, disbelief, and curiosity all flashing across her angel face and glinting in her deep blue ocean eyes.

"It's the year five billion and twenty-three," the Doctor started informing as Emma glanced around. "We're in the galaxy M87 and this. . . this is new Earth."

Emma watched as cars flew over her head and the buildings in the distance looked so futuristic it was surreal. She couldn't believe it and it was fantastic.

"This is. . ." she paused taking it all in, "wow!"

"Not bad," the Doctor agreed, smiling. "Not bad at all."

"It's just amazing," Emma commented, "I will literally never get used to this. Never!" she exclaimed, starting to jump up and down. "There's a different ground underneath my feet, a different sky above my head," she breathed in with a smile before frowning in confusion. "What's that smell? It's kinda. . . sweet?"
