Actually, the first arc will end after Kiyomoru leave the kingdom. I did my best to create an original plot after that. But it will all make sense in the future.

Be sure to reread the prologue and some chapters if you have the time. Since it didn't make any sense how Kiyotaka got his unique skill, I explained it all on the prologue.

Be ready for my Kakegurui x Cote fanfic.

Ah, I'm gonna pull a Ryueen act here, like what I said in the previous chappie.

Kiyomoru POV

"てりり いちばん せかい かわいい!"

Oops, wrong line.

The day of the hearing finally arrived. The lound siren can be heard all over the place. Through our locked up, and not so big cell the sound vibrated on our ears. The guards opened up the steel bars and ordered us to follow them.

They didn't bother tying them on a long chain. A mere handcuff is more than enough for Kaijin and the brothers. And as for me, they put a circled steel cuff on my body with a long chain that the guards hold. So basically, I'm being pulled by force.

Though it doesn't hurt, this still looks weird no matter where you look at it. Anyway, we cannot even escape the palace in the first place, so putting a cuff on us is unnecessary. But, just to be sure, they did do so.

It took as a handful of minutes before we arrived at what we saw, a long dark chamber. Torches hanging on the walls to create a dim light. A giant wooden door can be seen on the end of the tunnel, a bit smaller than the entrance of the kingdom.

Slowly, the door opened as we saw the king sitting on his throne. Two guards with heavy armors by his side. Councils of some sort, ministers and such can also be seen on both sides of the room. They eyed us with suspicions and hate, I wonder why?

The King Gazel Dwargo closed his eyes, then rest his chin on his hands. His aura alone shows how strong he is. He tried intimidating me, but eyes like those won't affect me. If only I have the eyes of a person, I would've showed him firsthand his own fear.

But, one thing that bothers me, is how he looks at Kaijin. Tender, yet harsh. Their connection and bonds can be seen on the air.

Vesta arrived at the court on the same way we got here. Along side his very lawyer, he looked at me with a mix of pity and anger on his eyes. Kaijin looked at him, and got shocked upon his figure.

I mean, who wouldn't? Kaijin only punched him in the face, yet his whole body; arms covered in bandages, his face swollen in bruises. People won't even get shock if he got hospitalized for a month in that appearance.

A man knelt in front of the king, checking over something with him. After receiving permission, he stood up and read the affidavit.

"We will now begin the trial! Silence, everyone!"

For the next hour, both sides presented their cases. As criminal suspects, we weren’t allowed to speak—in the royal court, that right was reserved for those with a rank of earl or greater. Otherwise, you needed the king’s express permission. If you did speak out of turn, that apparently proved your guilt on the spot and earned you a bonus contempt-of-court charge.

Whether you were innocent or not, that was the way this place worked. We were stuck having our representative speak for us. He had paid us a few visits during our two days in custody, discussing the nature of our case.

Our kind-of lawyer, basically

"So there Sir Vester was," he continued, "sitting back at this club and enjoying an alcoholic beverage, when this gang pushed their way into the place and exposed him to dreadful violence! This is not the kind of behavior that should ever be forgiven!"
