Bedtime Blues

(BEFORE I START I WANNA SAY THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME CREATE THIS STORY ^-^ I'll try to have as much fun with it as possible lol)

Relationships. They come in many different ways. Young and old. Male and female. 2 males, or 2 females. Maybe both. Some relationships are as long as a lifetime. Some as long as a day.

No matter how weird relationships can get, nobody could ever think that the weirdest one to top it off...

...Would be a human and a vampire.

People have stereotypes. Vampires are all mean and scary-looking. They're merciless creatures who digest the blood of another until all that remains is their cold, dead body.

Serena, however, could care much, much less about how a vampire was. The one she was in a relationship with, she treated as a human. Almost.

It was a warm and hazy Saturday night. Although it was still quite early, Serena and Ash had already gone to bed. It'd only been a few days after Ash came crashing in, searching for a partner.

But a few days of togetherness didn't mean they immediately got used to each other. Ash would sometimes forget his sense of privacy. Serena would sometimes go too far with teasing Ash about vampire things that didn't really matter.

They had some sort of romantic connection, yes, but like every relationship, one drives the other crazy.

Ash was on the left side and Serena was on the right. However, he wasn't really asleep. Ash looked to be asleep, but was actually awake, acting as a third eye. He was like this by default, incase something happened to him and Serena.

Although it was peaceful now, the two had a few problems when going to sleep. They weren't thought about until they happened.

Ash was "sleeping" peacefully, until he felt the covers move towards him. He didn't mind, until it happened again.

And again. And again. And again. And again.

All the way until he was drowning in a huge blanket.

And it was WAY too hot. So he decided to carefully tuck Serena back in the covers. And that was it, problem solved.

Until she flapped the sheets right back on top of him again. And it was STILL too hot in there.

Ash decided to try it again, softly placing the covers back on top of Serena. But this time, it took her less than a second to kick them off. And this time, she woke up.

"What the hell, Ash. Stop putting the covers back on me, it's too hot in here." She said.

"You're the one trying to bury me in your huge ass bedsheets. If it's too hot, just go turn down the AC." Ash snapped back.

Serena replied with a quiet "alright" and went to go adjust the air conditioner. And after, the two went back to sleep, with no more problems.

But a new one had formed. It was now too cold in the room. Ash had automatically taken the covers, only sleeping in a portion of them, of course.

Serena's uncomfortable body temperature was keeping her awake. So, in response, she snatched the covers from him. Now she was the one surrounded by bedsheets, and Ash had none.
