"I don't feel good..."

On a early Tuesday morning, Ash was already awake and laying in bed, waiting for Serena to wake up so she could get ready for work.

He was bored, so he decided to look at Serena's face just to admire her. But upon looking at her, Ash noticed something odd about her. Serena's face was oddly red, and her breaths were short. Ash didn't think it was that much of a problem, though he did keep an eye out for her, in case she was going through something severe.

He looked at the clock. It was 7:09 am, a few minutes before Serena had to wake up; which was 7:15 am. However, since Ash was worried about how Serena's condition was, he decided to wake her up.

"Serena," He whispered, shaking her shoulder. "Serena, wake up."

But as soon as she turned her head, Ash's concerns were raised. He felt her forehead, and it was steaming hot. Nonetheless, she woke up, and ignored Ash, who was intriguingly looking down on her. Instead, Serena groaned in pain as she clutched her head.

"Serena, are you okay?" He asked.

"No, my fucking head hurts." Serena groaned.

Ash made it upon himself to get the thermometer from the bathroom and take Serena's temperature. Unsurprisingly, she had a fever. What was surprising to Ash is that her internal body temperature was well over 100°.

"Well, shit."

"What's wrong, Ash?"

"You've got a bad fever...it says your temperature's at 104°. You should lay down and stay in bed today."

"Oh, alright." Serena sighed. "I'll call my boss and let her know. In the meantime, could you go in the kitchen and get the pain reliever?"

"Where is it?"

"In the kitchen, dumbass."

"No, like, where specifically in the kitchen is it. I'm not going to the kitchen just to stand there for 3 minutes digging through shit." Ash said.

"It should be in one of the drawers...it's a small bottle with pills in it."

Ash nodded, and ran to the kitchen to look for the medicine. It took him 15 seconds to pull out a small pink bottle, and he ran back to Serena; hoping he got the right medicine.

"That was quick." Serena said.

"Is this it?"

"..."

"No Ash, that's the birth control."

"...Why the fuck do you have this?"

"That question is an answer in itself."

"Well, what does the bottle look like?"

"It's small and blue. It should literally say 'pain reliever' on it."

Ash nodded, and zoomed off once again to locate the medicine Serena needed. After (finally) finding it, he clutched the bottle in his hand while staring at it for a moment. It was still hard for him to come to terms that Serena was in pain. Of course, she wasn't a superhuman, but her personality was so outgoing that it was unbelievable to see her in her lowest moments.

"Ash!! Did you find it yet??" Serena yelled, amidst coughing up a storm.

"Oh- yeah, I found it. I'll bring you some water while I'm at it." Ash said, snapping out of his thoughts.

And Ash did as promised - he fixed a glass of water, took a pill out of the bottle, and gave both of them to Serena.

"Serena, it's still early in the morning, so why don't you try going back to sleep? I'll go back to sleep with you, too." Ash suggested.
