After Serena had left to go to the store, Ash was left sitting by himself in front of the balcony window where he could see the city. It was noon, the hottest time of the day, but Ash had practiced for the sun to not burn his skin.

"It's nearly the end of mating season. Maybe I can get some more blood soon." He thought.

He was bored, already having cleaned the house for Serena earlier. He walked around and decided to take a nap, when he eventually came to Serena's calendar. There was a day with a heart circled around it, labed "Anniversary".

"Anniversary? Isn't that what married couples do? She's so cheesy." Ash shuddered.

"Nonetheless, she's not wrong. We did get together right around this time. I'll have to ask on what I can get as a present for her."

Ash's thoughts were interrupted by a mildly loud knock at the door. "I'm coming," he shouted, while rushing to the door.

After opening the door, he saw a woman, probably around Serena's age, standing in front of him. Her hair was a blush pink coped in two long ponytails. Her head, despite how cute her hair was, wielded two large demonic horns. Her eyes were a rosey pink, and she stared at him mischievously.

"Well, hello there, handsome~!" She cooed.

Ash immediately shut the door in her face, but her whining could be heard after the door was closed.

"Nooo! Ash, don't leave me out hereee~!"

"You're glad I didn't leave you to rot." Ash snarled back.

"Still an asshole as always, you haven't changed a bit~!" The girl replied. "Is this how vampires treat guests who come to visit~?"

"If the guest is you, I don't mind."

"C'monnnn~! Can't we just grow up and talk like adults for once~?"

Ash sighed, but it was a heavy, frustrated sigh. He turned around and walked back to the door, opening it again.

"You're still as bitchy as always." He said.

"What a compliment. The humans truly have changed you, haven't they?"

"This has nothing to do with the humans."

Ash and the girl continued to stare at each other for a split second before Ash moved to the side of the door, gesturing for her to come inside.

"Whaaa-?! He's so polite!" The girl thought. "The old Ash would've probably pushed me through a portal to hell and back~!"

After (awkwardly) getting used to the fact that they were seeing each other again, Ash and the girl sat down and Ash sighed at her again.

"Lucille, what do you want?" He asked.

"I dunno, what do I want?"

"Fucking bitch. Just answer the question." Ash thought.

"I mean, I just thought it was funny how you thought you could escape me by running to this world of meekly mortals."

"I wasn't trying to 'escape' you. I came here looking for a mate, and I found one. So fuck off."

"You started looking for a mate anyways? After I specifically said that I wanted to be with youuuu~?"

"I, in no way, shape or form, have to listen to anything you say. You're not a vampire, so why should it matter?"

"That hurt." Lucille said, sarcastically. "There's no way you got any mates here, they're all mortal. They're useless."
