Soft Draco Oneshots

Space Mountain -Draco

Every year the Malfoys would go to Disneyland
This year however, when Draco was 4 years old, Draco saw a bunch of teenagers go into space mountain
He wanted to be a "big kid" so he asked his dad if they could go too
He tugged at his dad's sleeve until Lucius looked down
D: dad dad
L: yes?
D: I wanna go into space mountain
L: Draco that's a roller coaster
L: a ride for big kids
D: pleaseeeeee
D: I'm already a big kid
D: please dad
L: but It's a scary ride
D: I'm brave enough
D: please
Lucius sighed
L: alright
L: let's go
D: YES

They headed for space mountain and got to the place where they got measured
L: stand there Draco
He stood next to the measuring stick
L: Draco
L: you're not tall enough buddy
D: but dad
D: I am
D: look
He stood on his tippy toes
L: no Draco
L: I'm sorry
L: you have to be 48 inches tall
D: aww
He sadly walked away from the measuring stick

L: it's ok Draco
L: here tell you what
He bent down to Draco's height
L: as soon as you're tall enough I'll bring you
L: ok?
L: so you can ride it as much as you want
L: deal?
D: deal
L: for now do you wanna go get an ice cream?
D: mhm
Draco was now so happy and so so excited for the time he was tall enough

As soon as they got back to the manor Lucius walked Draco to a doorframe and measured him

L: you only need a few more inches Draco
He measured 42 inches
D: yay
D: every day I will measure myself
D: just 6 more inches!
L: almost there buddy
L: you will be tall enough in no time
Every single day, after lunch, he would go measure himself. This kept going on for about 8 more months until one day Draco came running to his dad

D: DAD DAD DAD
D: IM FINALLY TALL ENOUGH
D: LOOK COME HERE
L: ok ok
Draco took Lucius's hand and dragged him to the doorframe where he measures himself
D: see?
He stood next to the 48 inch mark and he indeed was tall enough to go on space mountain
D: let's go let's go
L: where?
D: Disneyland!
L: woah buddy
L: we can't go just like that
L: we have to plan it
D: but daaaaaaad
D: you said
L: I know I know
L: look today is Tuesday
L: in four days we can go ok?
D: ok
D: deal

And Draco counted down the days until it was finally Saturday
They woke up bright and early and were on their way to Disneyland
The whole trip there Draco couldn't stop saying how he couldn't wait to get on the ride or how excited he was
They finally got to the park and they were some of the first people there
Draco and Lucius rushed down main street and up tomorrow land until they finally got to space mountain
Draco walked up to the measuring stick and stretched up as tall as he could
He ended up being just tall enough
D: YAY!

Draco and his father weaved in and out of the line guider things since there were no people there yet
They got their seats at the very front
The thing that holds you down came down and Draco couldn't wait
As more and more people came in Draco got quieter
When all the seats were taken, the worker there gave everyone a thumbs up and started the ride
As they slowly went up one of the drops, Lucius felt Draco's little hand wrap around his arm

As soon as they got to the top everyone was screaming but Draco didn't make a sound
Throughout the whole ride Draco stayed completely silent
When it finally stopped, Lucius looked down at Draco and Draco looked up at Lucius with tear filled eyes
L: how was it?
D: I would never bring my kid on a ride like this
He was slightly trembling and didn't let go of his father's hand for a good 10 minutes
L: so it's a no from you?
D: mhm
L: well how about we go get a snack?
L: how about some cookies eh?
D: yeah
D: good idea dad
They walked over to the bakery and Draco had completely forgotten about his trip on space mountain

This was inspired by a story a guest pastor told us and I instantly thought of remaking it into a baby Draco one
I thought of doing a Scorpius and Draco one but I felt like Lucius and Draco was cuter
