Making Plans

Meliodas came down to meet whoever requested him and a sudden feeling of danger spread through out his body.

"Hello there. I'm Meliodas", he smiled.

Ava was wide eyed. That sure was Meliodas. The traitor of the demon race and he hasn't aged one bit.

"I'm Ava. I just wanted to see who Elizabeth had a crush on", she lied.

But Elizabeth didn't know that. Instead she blushed profusely from the sudden comment, "Sir Meliodas I-"

"Yup that would be me", he said happier than before.

Elizabeth was now red as a tomato and hid herself behind her hands.

"So your the owner of this place? With the seven deadly sins right? Where's the rest? I was kinda hoping to see them all", Ava said while looking around.

"Ban is our cook and the rest of them went out to get us some more ingredients, but if you promise to come back to tomorrow I'll introduce you", he offered.

"Sounds like a plan. As long as your not cooking, I'll be here", she said.

While Ava was agreeing to tomorrow's arrangements, Damien was walking out from the bathroom.

He immediately saw Ava and was irritated that she would take action without him. 'Seems as though she found the leader', he thought to himself.

"Damien over here! This is Meliodas. He's the owner of the tavern"

He mentally slapped himself for being behind because from what it looks like, she found out a lot in just 5 minutes.

"Hello, I'm Damien. The food here is amazing"

"Don't lie to him. The food here is awful, but he asked us to stop by tomorrow so we can meet the rest of his crew. That Ban guy knows how to cook, so if he's cooking tomorrow, I'll be here. How about you? Trynna come with?"

Damien P.O.V

Ava you sly dog. Two sins in one day? Impressive.

"Of course I'll come. I can't leave you alone for a second", I said, hinting on the fact that I indeed CANNOT leave her alone for a second.

"Perfect. Me and him have to go, but I look forward to meeting your friends tomorrow. Will you be open all day?"

"We should be open around noon. Just show up and ask for me", Meliodas stated.

Ava and I nodded and headed back to our camp out site.

"Could you be more risky?", I hissed.

"Oh shut it. Your just mad because I was able to find two sins in one day anddddd got us arrangements to meet the rest tomorrow. Admit it, I'm all you needed for this search of yours"

"Don't get to comfortable. We're not looking for the sins. We're looking for Amon. Stay focus or else you'll end up sidetracked on the wrong tasks"

"Whatever. I know how to stay focused. That's how I was able to find them. They're our key to finding Amon. If we stay on this path it will only take us a few days"

"Days? Now your just being irrational"

"Think about it Damien. We only really need Meliodas. He can tell us something about Amon himself. They could've been friends or something"

"Friends?"

"Two of the most powerful demons being friends isn't too far fetched of an idea, so stop looking like that"

"*sighs* and what happens if he doesn't say anything? How do we even bring up the conversation?"

"That's why I'm here. I can take care of all that. All you have to do is be ready to fight if anything goes wrong"

"I'm not a bodyguard. I'm a researcher"

"Then research where Amon might be and save us some time"

I sucked my teeth and went to my room to relax. Today has been hectic, but at least we're getting somewhere.

Merlin P.O.V

"It's too late"

I sighed and stopped what I was doing. Me and the Captain knew very well that the time would come, but not this soon.

"So what are your plans? Should we kill them?", I asked.

"No. I need to think about this before I make any calls. Just their presence alone made me stop, so that tells me they have a plan. I can't rush into this"

"I understand. If you want, I can cast a-"

"No. They're aware of your presence, I'm sure of it. You need to promise me if anything goes wrong tomorrow that you and the others leave immediately"

"Captain-"

"Merlin you need to promise me. Especially Elizabeth. I can't have her being here if things go wrong"

"You have my word"

"Good", the Captain left my room quietly and I never felt so pressured to do something so cowardly.

I know when to leave a fight. I am very smart and rational about most things, so my only suspicion is that he is hiding something.

How am I, the mage blessed by both the Demon King and the Supreme Deity, not strong enough to help?

I am aware of their power, but Meliodas is stronger. He shouldn't be so frightened. He especially should not be turning away help if he is worried.

"Well Merlin, what now?", I whispered to myself, sympathetically.

The best I can do, while obeying my captains orders, is devising a plan that will prevent an uproar.

We won't need to escape if nothing breaks out, so that's what my prime focus is on tonight.

I swear to you Captain that I will find a way for things to stay how they are. It will be hard, but I am confident I can make it happen. Just give me your trust and I'll do it.

We can't afford you losing yourself.
