The summer days for the Uchiha clan were filled with many active events such as the summer celebrations, festivals, weddings, banquets, and of course, the journey to the battlefields. Summer was the only season for the Uchiha clan to loosen up and relax for awhile since they were not often summoned to the battlefields by the Fire Country. However, it didn't stop the Uchiha clansmen from training and improving themselves for the blood-thirsty season of autumn.

[Name] was surrounded by a fairly large group of Uchiha children at the training grounds. For the past few weeks under Madara's orders, she was preparing them for the battlefields by teaching them ninjutsu, taijutsu, and shurikenjutsu. She worked alongside Izuna, and he taught them bukijutsu, genjutsu, and dojutsu due to [Name]'s incapability of teaching them about the visual powers of the clan's kekkai genkai: the Sharingan.

"Okay everyone, thank you for all of your hard work today! I will see you all tomorrow, so please practice at home or at the training grounds in your free time today!" announced [Name] as she released them from her class.

Izuna walked up from behind and stood next to his wife with a bright smile on his face. "You're actually a very good teacher, [Name]. No wonder Brother chose you for this job."

"They are fast learners so it's easy to move on quickly from each lesson, but I am concerned about a few of them. The youngest from that group is only seven,  and he'll go to the battlefields when autumn comes. I wish we didn't have to send children to war like this, it doesn't feel right." she lamented.

Izuna wrapped an arm around [Name]'s shoulders in comfort and brought her closer to him. "I know, but they need experience too. If they manage to survive their first battle, they'll grow into fine shinobi or kunoichi. Have some faith in them, [Name]."

[Name] pushed Izuna's arm away from her shoulders and crossed her arms haughtily. "Izuna, they're only children! Even if I do teach them, how will I know how well they do on the battlefield? If anything, I don't think anyone should go to the battlefield until they're sixteen or older."

Izuna placed both of his hands on his hips and sighed. "You're a very difficult wife to please, [Name]. But don't you remember when you went to your first battle? I was only seven years old when I went, and I came out of it alive thanks to training. Unlike me, I heard from your mother that you went to your first battle when you were only six years old! And look at you now, you're a grown and married woman at the age of eighteen."

"Izuna, that's because I went through intense and harsh training when I was only four years old. My father placed all of his hopes in me after all of my brothers died in combat. He wanted me to become a strong kunoichi so that I could at least survive the battles and live." she replied with an irritated voice.

Izuna sheepishly reached for a lock of [Name]'s silky hair and brought it to his lips. "Will we ever have children then?" he asked sadly.

[Name] sighed and she shook her head. "I don't want any children until this war is over. I refuse to send our own children to the battlefields, they'll be an easy target for the older and more experienced enemy shinobi. The fruits of our love shouldn't go to waste so easily like that, Izuna..." [Name] said with her eyebrows raised in distress.

"[Name], our children will just be like us. They'll grow into great and powerful shinobi or kunoichi and as parents, we just need to put our faith into them. I would really like a daughter as well, since I want her to inherit her beautiful mother's looks." he declared with a grin.

[Name] held back her laughter and shook her head with a small smile. "I'm used to your manipulative ways by now, Izuna. You won't be able to change my mind until this war is over." she remarked.
