The battle with the Senju clan was over, and the Uchiha clan returned home with victory in their hands. With the help of the Himura clan, it gave them the better advantage and chances of winning too.

In their room, Izuna was wrapping white bandages around [Name]'s sprained wrist. She would wince every now and then, but the pain didn't bother her as much as it did when she was a child.

"It seems like your opponents were no match for you when it came to taijutsu." he commented with a chuckle.

[Name] shrugged her shoulders and sighed. "It couldn't be helped. The last punch I threw was on a Senju man with a thick jaw bone."

"You still performed jutsus with that broken wrist of yours though. Can't you be less reckless, [Name]?" he questioned.

"Izuna, I wasn't that reckless with my attacks. When I teamed up with my sisters, our sole goal was to burn and kill the Senju, and our attacks were neat and organized." she retorted in defense.

"Alright, I won't argue with the Blazing Beauty then," he said as he finished tying the bandages around her wrist with a calm smile.

Izuna stood up from the floor and put the extra bandage wrappings on his desk. Without another word, he headed for the door.

"Where are you going?" [Name] inquired.

"There's another meeting today and I have a few things to take care of, but I will join you for dinner later in the evening." he answered.

Before Izuna could move closer to the door, [Name] ran towards him and hugged him from behind. Her sudden movements surprised him, and he chuckled softly to himself as he gently placed his hands over hers.

"What's wrong? Are you afraid that I won't return?" he questioned with an eased smile.

[Name] closed her eyes and moved her arms to tighten her embrace with Izuna.

"I'm not afraid. I just want to hug you before you go. You're always running around the compound, and I never have enough alone time with you." she mumbled.

Izuna quietly pried her arms off of him, and he spun around to hold her in his arms instead. He peered into her melancholy eyes and cupped her cheek with his hand.

"Are you feeling lonely?" he asked as he leaned in closer to her face, centimeters away from her lips.

"Y-Yes, but just a little bit." she replied with a slight pink blush dusting her cheeks.

Izuna found it amusing that she was trying to hold a brave face while answering his question, and he kissed the corner of her lips, much to [Name]'s dismay. Izuna loved the fact that his lover craved for his kisses, and it was also his way of teasing her too.

"Izuna, I wanted a kiss right here." declared [Name] as she tapped on her lips with a slight pout.

"Oh? You wanted one there? Then you'll have to wait until we take our moonlight walk tonight. Crave for me until then," he said with a smirk as he kissed her cheek and headed for the door.

"Uchiha Izuna, come back here!" she demanded with a flustered look.

"I love you, [Name]! You'll get your kiss tonight, I promise!" he shouted as he winked at her and left the room in a hurry.

[Name] couldn't help but smile to herself. Even if she was his wife, Izuna did not hesitate to have her wrapped around his pinky.

"I should go visit Tatsuo and see how he's doing..." she murmured to herself as she exited out of the room too.

[Name] slowly stepped onto the stone steps that led to Tatsuo's house. She wondered if he was recovering well from his eye-transplant surgery, and she hoped that he would be fine from it. Just as she was about to knock on the wooden door, Tatsuo opened it and met her surprised eyes. He looked like he was about to head out to run a few errands.

"Ah, [Name]. What a surprise,"

"I'm sorry, did I come at an inconvenient time? I'll just come back later when you're home." she announced.

"No, it's fine. I was just going to go fetch some herbs for my mother. Would you like to come along with me?"

[Name] nodded and turned on her heels first to lead the way. It's been awhile since she had spent some time with Tatsuo.

"How is your new eye? Do you feel a little bit normal now?" she inquired as they walked around the small shops of the Uchiha compound.

"I do feel normal, and I can see fine with this new eye too. But I can feel Misaki's chakra flowing through my body, and it's very cold." he answered with a shiver.

"Can you control her eye's powers?"

"I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure I can. I feel a little guilty for taking one of Misaki's eyes though. I heard that the medical-nin team had to hold her down and take her eye out by force." he replied.

"Is that so? Either way, it's fine. She deserved that punishment, and you need that eye more than her. You shouldn't feel guilty at all." [Name] said haughtily.

"I guess you're right." he said with a sigh as they stopped in front of the herbal shop to look at the goods.

Once Tatsuo paid the shopkeeper, [Name] heard someone calling her name. She turned around and tried to pinpoint the incoming voices. From a distance, [Name] saw a frantic Konami and Umiko running towards her with a beautifully-designed sea blue yukata and accessories in their hands.

"[Name]-sama, you are a noblewoman, it is improper for you to walk around in your casual training attire!" scolded Konami.

"That's right, you must come with us and change immediately!" added Umiko with a huff.

[Name] furrowed her eyebrows and groaned. She wasn't fond of dressing up on normal days, and she preferred comfortable clothes instead of dressy ones. Tatsuo laughed at this and gently pushed her forward towards her maids.

"Go with them, [Name]. I'll talk with you again when you are free from your current troubles." he joked.

"Alright, take care of yourself then. Next time, we'll have to wear disguises!" she said with a smile as she remembered the day where she spied on Izuna and Misaki at the training grounds with Tsubaki.

And with that, the two Uchiha maids took [Name] by her wrists and dragged her away from the public eyes of their clan.

Later on in the evening after their dinner, [Name] was taking a walk with Izuna near the water lilies pond and garden. A full moon was out, and the sounds of crickets chirping could be heard all around the peaceful night air. [Name] was wearing a sea blue yukata with pink and white cherry blossoms on the silky material, and she held a matching fan to her face. Izuna held her free hand and sighed as a cool breeze blew in their direction.

"Doesn't this remind you of the night where we took a stroll in your clan's gardens under the moonlight? I remember you being so cold and quiet towards me," he said as he pulled her closer towards him.

"If I had known that you were that boy I met in the forest as a child, I wouldn't have done that. Besides, during that time, I thought I was going to marry a complete stranger, and I hated the very idea of it." she replied.

"Why?" he questioned.

"I hated it because I fell for you seven years ago when we were both children! When I took your heart, you also took mine. I originally wanted to find you after the wars were over, but unbeknownst to myself, I ended up marrying you for the sake of an alliance! It's insane to think that we would reunite with each other through that." she answered with a small laugh.

"Was it that difficult to recognize me?" he asked with a chuckle.

"In a way, I was already blinded by the love I had for you as a child. And we grew up too, so how was I supposed to know what you looked like if I haven't seen you for years?"

"You have a point there, but in all honesty, I am glad that I found you first. I was so happy to make you mine on our wedding day." he declared as they walked across a small wooden bridge over the water lilies pond.

[Name] smiled at Izuna and pulled him towards the railing of the bridge. The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom, and their petals scattered all around the courtyard of the garden. It was a breath-taking sight, and Izuna slowly wrapped his arms around [Name]'s waist from behind.

As they looked and admired the beauty of the night, [Name] frowned and remembered how she dreaded her wedding day. She immediately felt regret, and frowned from those bittersweet memories. Izuna took notice of her faded smile and asked her what was wrong.

"I wish I wasn't so bitter on our wedding day, and I regret that I didn't cherish it as much as I should have. The thought of it makes me feel uncomfortable and sad at the same time."

"Shall we renew our vows then?" he asked through a grin.

"What? Oh that would be too troublesome, I wouldn't want to put you through all that trouble. It's not like you memorized your vows to me too since it's been a year."

"Himura [Name], I promise to love you for the rest of my life in sickness and in health." he began.

[Name] stared up at him in shock. She didn't think that Izuna memorized every single word of it and knew all of it by heart. It made her have butterflies in her stomach for a moment.

"I vow to respect, help, and console you in everything that you do, and I vow to bring you happiness always." he continued as he watched her shocked face.

"Izuna, you-"

"Until death do us part, I vow to protect you until the very end. With my entire heart, I promise to always be with you." he said as he turned her around and pressed her against the railing of the bridge.

"H-How could you have remembered those vows? It's been a year now, and-"

"These aren't just our wedding vows. I like to call them my 'eternal vows' because they are meant for you, and I mean them." he responded with a smile.

[Name] blushed at his words and Izuna lightly chuckled at her embarrassed face. Izuna lifted her chin up with his thumb and finger, and she quickly met his dark and alluring eyes. In his onyx orbs, [Name] saw the depths of his love for her through them. Slowly, Izuna drew her into a passionate and loving kiss, one that [Name] had been craving and waiting for.

As their kisses started to heat up, [Name] accidentally dropped her fan into the waters of the pond, and she broke away from Izuna's warm lips. Before she could turn her head around to find it, Izuna cupped her cheek and brought her back to his attention, drowning her in another pleasurable and steamy kiss.

At that moment, [Name] no longer cared for her fan,  and she was content to be in the arms of her one and only lover. She was his, and he was hers. Nothing else mattered to them in this moment of their life.

In the end, [Name] had reunited with the boy that she had met in the forest. She was thankful for meeting and marrying Izuna, the love of her life, and their eternal vows definitely meant an ever-lasting life filled with an unbreakable love and gratitude for each other.
