Chapter 28

Mina wiggled her eyebrows at Kaito, asking him what was going on. Kaito just peeked at her, having a smirk on his face.

"Nakamura-san, sorry, it was my mistake that I haven't contacted you in a week, I trusted the wrong person." Satoru said, looking at Mina. She obviously couldn't understand anything and stood there like a statue. Satoru turned to Dana and asked her,

"Why did you ignore my order?"

Dana kept silent. Satoru asked again,

"I won't say anything if you give me an answer. So tell me. There's no way you could have forgotten about the annual trip."

"Annual trip!" Mina muttered. "Are we going on a trip, Sato-san?" She asked.

"Wait, this is the first time you called me Sato, you always call me Sir." As Kaito spoke to Mina, the other two in the room averted their attention on them.

"Oh I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Mina bowed to apologize in hurry.

"Ah it's okay. Everyone calls me either Sato or Kaito, I'm kinda happy to be honest. You're quite friendly with ......."

"Sato-san, she asked you something else. Why are you talking ........" Satoru stopped his friend.

"Oh yea, I'm sorry. Yes Nakamura-san, We're going on a trip."

"Really? I didn't know anything. Where are we going?" She asked, excited.

"Akita." Satoru replied. "Kim-san, where do you think you're going again?" He stopped her again, seeing her working on the chance to get herself out of that room.

"I'm not going anywhere." She replied, looking back.

"So you don't have any answer for that?"....."Wait a sec, I'll call the other manager and ask them if they know anything." Kaito said.

[So the thing is, Satoru had been busy dealing with some officials during this break, the annual trip usually happens in the first week of November. A manager from each team gets selected by the authority board to lead their team. All the leaders usually deal with money, payments, food and managing travel agencies. Mina was selected to guide the NG department. Since Satoru was busy, he gave the work to Dana to let everyone know about the trip and guide Mina. As Dana was already kind of jealous about Mina and her popularity among everyone she didn't really want her to be the leader and more like she didn't want her to go on the trip. So she literally sacrificed everyone's right. Some NG senior managers got to know from their batch colleagues but not from Dana or Satoru. The newbies of NG left unknowing about it. But the seniors thought maybe NG department wouldn't go with others, they thought there might be some important business coming up otherwise Gojo would definitely tell them. They had been left out once before because of loaded work.]

Kaito called the most senior manager at the NG department and all the rookies. They clearly said No, that they never heard of the trip from Dana. The senior only heard a little but ignored since he thought maybe they wouldn't be able to go. Satoru kept his calm, looking at Dana and told her to apologize, but she didn't respond at first. "Alright then. You handle things here, btw we'll leave in 2 days, everyone. I know it's sudden for you all and we are sorry. We'll try our best to make this trip special." Kaito retorted. He added, "Kim-san, you come with me." Dana silently followed him out of the door since she wanted to run away from there for a long time. Satoru took a deep breath before looking at his colleagues.
