"Yeah I can't really say no your the adult." You say and your dad looked confused
"Yes, but you should have a say in your own life your not 4, your turning 14 next month, wait.......Yes you are because Harry is one month older and he's already had his birthday, anyways I'm not gonna force you to do anything." Your dad says and what? Your mom forces you to do stuff and listen to her, because she's the adult and she gives you food water and shelter, so you don't get an opinion
"Ok." You say and your dad hugs you and you hug him back, you needed a hug you haven't been hugged in awhile
"Look I'm fighting for more custody because you obviously need me more in your life, and my lawyers have a date set and it'll be when your in Hogwarts, so I will have to take you out since my lawyer would want to ask you questions." Your dad says and you nodded
"It's fine do whatever you want I don't care." You say and your dad hugs you tighter
"Will you ever be able to talk to me about your problems? I'm your father I just want to know your life and your problems, I wanna be there for you y/n why do you never talk to me?" Your dad asks and you didn't say anything "Anyways I got you new clothes and shoes they are all in your room." Your dad says and you nod and run off
Your dad sighs as lily walks over and he felt stupid, like one day every month wasn't enough to see how you aren't doing good, he's actually thankfully for this week so he can actually finally see that you need him around more
