Kara bolted up from a nightmare, sweating bullets all over her body. She reached towards the clock on the bed stand checking the time and saw she had to get up, to start her day...to get a job.
As Kara showered letting the water hit her face what felt like seconds felt like minutes, she was daydreaming in that daydream she saw her mother, and she saw Krypton explode.
She re-lived her last moments there, and then being stuck, floating through space for so long, knowing she could never have her life back she felt nauseous.
Being in back in that pod. Completely trapped and alone.
It was... It was so quiet.
The silence was the worst part.
She felt completely cut off from everything and everyone she had ever known.
Then remembering where she was, she lightly shook her head reaching out her hand to turn off the shower, and grabbed her towel.

Kara was already in the kitchen making breakfast, she assumed that when the D.E.O. dropped her they stock up the fridge and cupboards with food.
She also saw a car key, a phone, and what looked like garage keys. Kara never even saw what the house looked like, she took the keys, the side bag that she found in the closet, a slice of avocado toast and out the door, she went.
