The Six Kingdoms

Hello lovely readers ♡ I thought I'd take a moment to explain the world of this book~

So to start with, we have our six kingdoms: Oria, Fenix, Zephyr, Typhis, Nabia, and Bane. These six kingdoms all have an element related to them. For example, Oria is the kingdom of earth, Bane is the kingdom of shadow, Typhis is the kingdom of water/ice, and so on.

With the map above you can see how the kingdoms are situated: all centered around one large, nameless area. That area is the neutral zone, a place where (theoretically) The six kingdoms can come together to create treaties or laws, and so the youth of the world can prosper and learn amongst those they do not know. In the neutral zone, the Crossroads Academy sits right in the middle, allowing all types to enter and learn. On paper, it sounds like a perfect idea, but the academy is littered with extremists who believe they are the superior ones.

Crossroads Academy has many steps for application which only makes the tensions between kingdoms worse... Still, there are those who believe in the unity of each kingdom.

Now, let's talk about the kingdoms:

Oria; Kingdom of Earth; The land of Oria holds many creatures and buildings. From unexplored forests to giant castles built for royalty, Oria has it all. Its naturally bright land draws many to its continent, but not only is the land pleasing, but the advanced civilization is also a marvel to look at! People who live here usually have pale hair with brightly colored orbs and, depending on status, pale skin.

Bane; Kingdom of Shadow; Bane is a rocky land with many mountains and a few volcanoes. The kingdom of shadow is often ignored and even disrespected because nobody dares to travel across the black sea. But, if someone takes the time to visit Bane, they'll quickly find that it is a beautiful kingdom surrounded by many, happy people. This kingdom may not be as big as Oria but at least the community is a family. Technology is on the same level are Oria but other kingdoms insist they still live in the dark ages. Pastel hair and tanned skin is common for those of lower status, black hair and pale skin is subject to royalty and is very uncommon.

Nabia; Kingdom of Light; Nabia is a land much like Oria but on a smaller scale and with more religious monuments. This kingdom holds to old traditions and rarely makes new changes to its systems, therefore their technology is slightly lacking. The people of this land don't live very happy lives as they are tied down by harsh rules and laws. Yet, the land is very beautiful and offers many things other kingdoms do not have. The people of this land have long pale hair with light skin.

Fenix; Kingdom of Fire; This kingdom isn't as rocky as Bane but Fenix still holds many hills and mountains. There are a few volcanoes but none in areas that would hurt citizens. Technology may not be as advanced as Oria but the people are happy and have no trouble with the way things are run. Red hair and tanned skin is a staple of this kingdom.

Zephyr; Kingdom of Air; Zephyr is a pretty flat area, there are some hills but this land is flatter than my arse. Despite its lack of mountains, Zephyr is a very beautiful place. Tall grass, rolling hills, and the perfect place to be in the air! The technology depends quite a lot on the wind but they are still rather advanced. People here are lighter-skinned with lightly colored hair; light brown, yellow, etc.

Typhis; Kingdom of Water/ice; The kingdom of Typhis is often compared to an oversized beach town and it's true. Large canals of water run through the land creating a utopia of rivers and oceans. Palm trees and frozen mountains make up the most beautiful landmarks and attract all types to see the pure, crystal clear water. The technology isn't lacking but it could use some improvements, the main power source is water. People here are usually born with white hair and lightly colored eyes.
