YEAH I AM REALLY SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING IN SO LONG IM IN THE LAST YEAR OF SCHOOL AND ITS JUST TOOOOOOOO BUSY
"mother?" ivy asked with a frown, turning to calum who had turned incredibly pale,
"yes, im joy, calums mother." she repeated slowly, looking between calum and ivy.
"anyway, i'll leave you both to it, calum if you could give me a hand whenever your ready." she nodded, watching the pair as she wandered into the kitchen.
"im going to go." ivy said, pushing past calum as she opened the door and slowly closed it, careful not to make much sound.
her quiet exit was interrupted by calum bursting through the door and jumping in front of her,
"ivy, i- i can explain!" ivys hand flew up, her palm connecting to his cheek with a loud slap,
"you lied about your family being dead!" she choked out,
"what the hell is wrong with you?!"
"i thought maybe you would like me more if we were the same and-"
"no, calum! that's not how this shit works!" she shouted, her fingers palming underneath her eyes to collect any tears pooling,
"im sorry, i really am and-"
"calum, you've drawn the line here." she said, shaking her head and turning,
"let me explain!" he called as she turned, fists balled at her sides,
"calum thomas hood, you are fucked up. you pretended your family was dead just to get a girl, and then when you were suppost to be with her you were off fucking someone else, and it was apparently all for empathy? save it." she spat, turning around and walking down the street, no longer caring about her mascara stained cheeks or messed up hair.

it was monday and school had begun, ivy sat down comfortably in her seat, her makeup and hair done nicely, her book placed neatly in front of her.
calum entered the room however, looking a total mess. his hair wasn't washed, he was in a dirty black tshirt and pair of skinny jeans and some old vans. his eyes were bloodshot and bags stained underneath them.
"morning, mr hood." the teacher said as he entered, simply nodding in the teachers direction and sitting down.
"so, today we will be reading the love poems i asked you all to find, and explaining our analysis of each one to the class, who would like to begin?" calum sighed, remembering the project he had forgotten to do and slumping down in his chair was ivy raised her hand, much to everyone's surprise.
"ivy, please do start us off."
standing up, she held a piece of paper and anthology book covered in notes and scribbles,
"im going to be reading sonnet 116, by william shakespeare." the teacher nodded as she announced what she would be reading,
"let me not to the marriage of true minds
admit impediments; love is not love
which alters when it alteration finds,
or bends with the remover to remove.
o no it is an ever-fixed mark,
that looks on tempests and is never shaken;
it is the star to every wand'ring bark,
whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
love's not time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
within his bending sickle's compass come;
love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
but bears it out even to the edge of doom.
if this be error and upon me proved,
i never writ, nor no man ever loved." taking a breath, ivy stopped as the teacher smiled.
after explaining how time was actually personification and how the poem was set out, she began to talk about love, a part which calum had started to worry about slightly,
"shakespeare explains how love cannot be broken or ruined, and how true love only continues not until death but until the world ends; 'love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, but bears it out until the edge of doom'. love will not quite accordingly to time, but true love will keep itself going through accidents, through disasters and until the end of time." calum became tense in his seat, watching ivy closely,
"shakespeare also explains his opinion within the last two lines of the poem; if his poem is wrong, then no man has ever loved and he has never written." removing the paper from in front of her face now, she placed it by her side and looked directly at calum,
"i personally like this poem, because if you love someone you wouldn't allow time to ruin the relationship, but you also wouldn't lie to each other, for example, about dead parents." she said, her grip on the sheet tightening as calum sat up,
"ivy that isn't fair-"
"is it your turn to talk? no." she said as the teacher stood up from his desk,
"ivy, sit back down please. im willing to let the last part go because that was a very successful analysis, i think." he said as she sat down, her arm nocking the side of her book, a small piece of paper flying out and landing on the floor.
calum frowned, looking to the ground and picking it up, but before sliding it on her desk he saw quite clearly, that it was a drawing of him. pencil marks had been erased, the ripped paper taped back together in pieces, clearly done recently, maybe even that morning.
