"hi mum." ivy said, sitting down on the damp ground,

"sorry for leaving school, i got bored and i thought you might be lonely. plus, i dont like math." she smiled, shuffling through her bag,

"look at this," she chirped, "i got an a+ on my literature essay!" an elderly couple walked passed, looking at ivy like she was an alien,

"i made a friend today, kind of." she said with a small smile,

"his name is calum. he has black hair with bits of blonde in the front, i think he's trying to be a punk." she laughed,

"he didn't ditch with me, but he's smart so its okay. ellie and courtney dragged him off," she said, cramming the essay back into her bag,

"and he wanted to copy my biology notes, but theres nothing there." she laughed,

"anyway, calum, he's tall, taller than me, he likes weird bands, blink one hundred and eighty two, i think, and green day. i don't know, its what he said." ivy chuckled shaking her head,

"and he looks asian, but i would have to ask him, i don't know for sure. also, i got an hour detention after school in math for not going to lessons but-"

"ivy?" a voice called, as calum walked down the pathway coated in autumn leaves,

"c-calum?" she coughed as calum got closer, stopping as he looked at the teenage girl sat comfortable infront of a grey headstone with the words claudia franklin 1970 - 2012 written across it.
