monday morning blues

Annas emotions were still raw when she started getting ready the next morning. Even though she didn't reply to Nicole, Nicole still bought up all of her most painful memories and forced the girl to take medication.

She wore black baggy jeans, a black skintight t-shirt and a zip up hoodie, which used to be Tonys so had a nike logo on it. She paired this with her regular black converse and walked to the kitchen. Her eyes had dark circles, and were still slightly red from crying.

Due to it only being 7.00am, Natasha was the only one in the kitchen, Steve and Sam most likely on a run, whilst everyone else was asleep. "Morning" Natasha said, to which she got a tight lipped smile from an extra tired looking Anna. "Coffee? Oh Happy is picking Peter up from his apartment, so I'm just going to take you okay?"
"Yes, please and thats okay" which Natasha nodded and gave her the coffee.
"Meet you outside in 30?" to which she recieved another nod.

25 minutes later, Natasha and Anna were both already sat in the car, Annas rucksack on the back seat. "You forgot your jacket" Natasha stated, to which Anna looked down, frantically before looking up to Natasha as if to ask do I have time to go it?
"Go" Natasha stated, to which the girl sprinted out of the car.

Less than one minute later, Anna returned with her Jacket. After she returned, Natasha gave her a nod and started the car. She quickly turned the music on, knowing from this morning it was likely to be a silent journey.

They arrived at the school 5 minutes early, which Anna hoped would mean the hallways were empty. They weren't. As she walked to her lesson, she tried her best not to bump into anyone. She was able to reach her first lesson and take her seat next to MJ without physical contact.

"Morning Anna" MJ said looking up from her drawing to see Anna giving her a small smile, school stuff in front of her. She looked tired, and sad, but MJ had known this girl for a week and she was the most closed off person ever, so didn't mention it.

Hours passed and eventually it was lunchtime so Anna took the seat she had taken all last week, removing the lunch Natasha made from her bag and placing it in front of her, whilst MJ sat opposite also in silence, for the first time in her life, waiting to listen to Ned and Peters conversation.

Five minutes later, they arrived to MJ eating, and a half asleep Anna, yet to touch her food. Both boys looked between the girls earning a shrug from MJ, whilst Anna was yet to notice their arrival. Peter realised that he had overheard yesterday was therapy day. He was about to share this information when Anna, who he didn't even think knew he was here said "Don't you dare Parker" to which Peter rose his arms defensively, and the rest of the table  was left confused.

The rest of the day passed Anna in a blur until she was once again picked up by Natasha. The car ride back was silent, which didn't surprise Natasha. Annas hand started shaking as it dawned on her she'd have to take her medication. It then dawned on her how ironic it was that taking her anti anxiety medication, bought her more anxiety. This caused her to start laughing, which caught Natasha's attention. "What's so funny?" she queried, in between laughs Anna replied
"My hands were shaking... and I realised how ironic it was, that my anxiety medication bought me so much anxiety" although it wasn't actually very funny, Natasha couldn't help but laugh at the girls statement.

When they finally got home, Anna noticed that not only was she exhausted, but also starving. She wondered into the kitchen, without greeting the occupants of the living room and followed by Natasha. Once there she pulled her uneaten lunch out of her bag and questioned "Is this still okay to eat?" receiving a nod from Natasha, so she proceeded to take her lunch out her bag and eat her carrot sticks. "Do you want half of this?" she asked
"You should eat it, if you haven't eaten today" Anna looked at Natasha to say I'm really not in the mood for this today Red and Natasha took half the sandwich and bit into it. Once she finished Anna opted for coffee, because she sure as hell wasn't going to take a nap.

Soon enough it reached 4.30 and Natasha walked into the kitchen where Anna sat, finishing her homework. When Anna noticed her arrival, she tried to push past Natasha out of the room "Please Red, please" Natasha couldn't help but look at the girl with sympathy. Looking up at Nat right now, Anna looked younger than she had ever looked, fear in her eyes that were red and beginning to water. "Anna, I need you to take these"

After 10 minutes, the pair had gotten no where in Anna taking her medication. Wanda walked into the room, looked at the pair, confusion in her eyes and just walked out. She hadn't seen Anna cry before, and had never seen such a soft expression on Natasha's face. "Please Anna, people take medications, there normal" the girl stayed strong this time and simply sat staring in front of her. It was safe to say Natasha was beginning to get annoyed.

"Anna, I will literally force your fucking jaw open, please" Natasha pleaded with the unbelievably stubborn 15 year old in front of her. Anna now had tears on her cheeks as she panicked about the medication which for all she knew was a way to slowly kill her or a power reducer so they could control her easier, and she didn't want to risk it. "Seriously Anna what do I have to say to get you to take this pill?"

Another 10 minutes had passed, and Natasha and Anna were now both raising there voices.
"I don't want to take the fucking pill Natasha!"
"I can tell that Anastasia, but I need you too" her voice was laced with desperation, as was Annas. Finally, someone else walked into the kitchen to see what all the shouting was about.
"What the hell is going on in here?" it was Wanda
"Anna is being so fucking stubborn" Natasha stated. Anna took this opportunity to snake out of the room to the roof of the building.

She pulled a cigarette out of her jacket and lit it on the roof. For the first time since Saturday morning the girl felt relaxed...until Natasha realised where she was 10 minutes later.

"Anna please, the pill isn't going to hurt you, just take it" Anna put the cigarette out on the roof and turned to face Natasha, desperation in her eyes.
"Please" she muttered barely loud enough for Nat to hear. Natasha walked over and sat next to the girl. It was now past 5 o'clock.

"I'll buy you ice cream" Natasha had now resorted to bribing the 15 year old, with ice cream?
"I don't even like ice cream Natasha" Natasha was desperate, so she may regret the next words which leave her "I'll buy you another pair of oversized black jeans and tailor them to fit your tiny waist" Annas face lit up, so she would never have to wear blue jeans again. "Wheres the pill?" Anna asked and Natasha started laughing, handing Anna the small pill.

It was now the late evening and Anna and Natasha were both driving back from getting Anna another pair of black jeans. "I can't but you jeans every time you have to take your pill Anna"
"I'm sorry Natasha, it's just they remind of these pills I had to take so my healing would be slower" Natasha's eyes softened on the girl at this statement.
"I promise you, they aren't going to hurt you Anna" and with that Anna breathed out a heavy sigh.
