Sangs POV

Those boys are gonna kill me.

I couldn't help the thought for entering my mind again for the eighth time since getting off the bus in Sunnyvale. School had surprisingly went by without any hassles thanks plenty to the boys sharing classes with me and Tag Along somehow keeping other spirits at bay, minus the child spirit on the bus, I almost felt normal for the first time.

The boys had mentioned needing to have a meeting of some sorts with Owen and Sean as they had been unavailable during school hours and they expected me to hang outside by their cars untill such meeting was over but I had things to do, I needed food and I wasn't going to wait god knows how long till the boys were done with whatever and then have them take me shopping, I was a big girl, I could shop alone.

I had decided to grab the last school bus back home since I had to collect my purse and look up local stores nearby, after the water spirit at the mall I knew it was best to stick to smaller places, less likely to stumble across such spirits that way.

I had just grabbed my phone and purse and was checking the house phone for any messages from my father but no surprise there when I finally realised something.

The house was empty. Not empty as in we had been robbed of our belongings but empty as in, there wasn't any dead, atleast downstairs and to say I was confused was an understatement.

Where did they go?

I was about to head upstairs to check if they had simply relocated to other areas when a knock on the door stopped me from doing so and I couldn't help biting my lower lip gently. Was it one of the boys? Had they already finished their meeting and had discovered I had left? Moving myself away from the stairs I headed towards the door slowly opening it in hopes it would prolong the outcome of me ditching them.

"Hi again"

I said letting out a breath of relief when noticing the new neighbour Rogue on my front step.

I get to live a little longer.

"Hey there Shortie, I was just heading out when I saw you coming off the bus and remembered you mentioning this morning about needing shopping and thought it was only neighboury for me to offer you a lift since I too am going out for some groceries"

Rogue explained with a nervous smile on his lips and I couldn't help but stand there dumbfounded and blinking. Was he really offering me, a stranger, a lift to the shop? He said it was only neighboury to do so but part of me couldn't help but raise red flags at this, he was a stranger, neighbour or not.

"That's really nice of you but....."

"I get it, we don't know each other but I promise you I mean nothing more than to help you out"

I could see the truth in his green eyes at his words but i was alittle unsure.

"If it makes it any better you can message a friend or someone that you are heading out with me, give them my name address and even license plate"

I didn't have anyone I could text such things to, but then again he didn't know that and I could see the truth in his eyes about simply wanting to help me, maybe I was an idiot for accepting but part of me felt like I could trust this stranger.

"Okay..."

I finally said as I took a step outside before turning around to lock up.

"Perfect, my lil bro didn't wanna join me so you've saved me from a lonely and boring task"

That's right, he had a little brother.

"Is it okay for him to be home alone?"

I asked him as I turned back to him before we began walking down the steps towards a sleek red car that looked far to fancy for this area.
