Sangs POV

I glanced at Rouge's shopping trolley before glancing back at Rogue and ending with a last glance at his trolley.

"What's got you looking like an disapproving mother?"

Rogue suddenly asked and I couldn't help but look at him again with a 'are you serious?' look.

"What?"

He whined almost childlike and I knew then that he knew exactly why I looked like a 'disapproving mother'

"You have enough sugary treats in there to start a diabetic pandemic"

I was shocked at my sudden straight forward response but unlike how I would react with others I did not clamp my hands over my mouth and apologise for my words, I felt comfortable enough with him to speak so freely.

"It's not that bad"

He huffed and I raised an eyebrow as I inspected the full trolley that I'm certain didn't contain a single healthy or non sugary item.

"It's worse than bad"

I mumbled under my breath shaking my head, I wasn't going to force him into buying other items, he was a grown man after all, it was his decision in the end but a part of my was worried about the younger brother that would be subjected to so much sugar that he would be a dentist's dream patient.

"Pfffft, it's totally fine, if anything I'm more worried about the lack of sweets in your trolley"

He replied causing me to shake my head as I glanced towards my trolley that was barely filled with half the items his troller had which contained a mix of fresh vegetables and fruit, ready meals and a few snacks that consisted of sweets and crisps, despite being given my father's bank card I didn't want to overdo it on shopping and new I had enough to do me for atleast a fortnight before I would have to do another shop.

"I feel like you would get on great with one my new friends"

"Oh really"

He replied  as we began making our way to the cashier.

"Yeah but even he would no doubt think your candy stash was OTT"

"OTT?"

Rogue asked confused as I began placing my items up to be scanned.

"Over the top"

I simply informed him as I moved forward to pack up my items and pay for them, the cashier being nice enough to even offer a helping hand with all my bags but before I could reply Rogue who must've been paying attention to our interaction interupted.

"She doesn't need your help"

It almost sounded like a snarl the way he spoke and I couldn't help but be both surprised and confused at his behaviour, the cashier was simply being nice and didn't deserve such a reaction. Deciding not to cause a scene in the store I simply shook my head at his response and placed the remaining packed bags back in the trolley to take back to Rogues car.

"Just wait by the window and we'll head out together"

Rogue said and I nodded in response as i moved a few feet away after paying for my groceries to lean against the window.

A few minutes in Rogue who was still pulling items out his trolley to have scanned I was thankful for the small bench by the window knowing we would know doubt be here for a while.

After what seemed like an eternity Rogue had finally managed to get all his shopping scanned, paid and packed we headed back to his car which amazingly had enough space for all of our bags, though we did have to use all of the space on the back seats, and headed back to our homes in a comfortable silence though once we turned into our street and I noticed several figures standing outside my home I suddenly wished I was back at the shop.
