*Narrator POV*

George was rushed into the A&E room (UK equivalent of the ER). George's parents were in the waiting room. The doctors attempt to stop the bleeding before he loses too much blood. The stab wound was deep but barely missed a major artery.

George's parents were in the waiting room all night. He's gonna be alright, won't he?

*George's Mum POV*

I feel a tug on my shoulder. I open my eyes and see my husband's blurry face.

Husband: "You can see George now, they only allow one person in at a time. I've already been."

I shoot up and sprint my way to George's room. I swing open the door and see him laying on the bed.

Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum

I sit on a chair next to George. His chest rises and falls back down. As I look at him, I get a sigh of relief. George is alive, George is going to be alright

Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum

His body lies still

Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum

'I should go back' I think to myself. I've not had a good sleep today, George is alright, I can come back later. I stand up and turn around to walk to the exit. Something catches the corner of my eyes. I look back at George. Did I just see him twitch? Must be my imagination.

Ba-ba-dum. Ba-dum-ba. Ba-ba-dum.

George twitches again. His heartbeat is now irregular and faster than normal

Mum: "DOCTOR!!" I scream at the top of my lungs

A doctor charges in to see what happened. He sees the heartbeat monitor and runs over to help George. Another doctor enters to see what happened. He pulls me away, telling me to go wait in the waiting room. As I reach the door, I hear it.

Beeeeeeeeeeep

I look back at the heartbeat monitor. A straight line. George is dead.

No! He can't be! No! he was going to be alright!

I storm in but the doctor pulls me out

Doctor: "Don't worry ma'am, it's gonna be alright."

⚡️15 minutes later⚡️

Tears were in my eyes. I see the doctor approach me. I can finally see Geo-

Doctor: "We're sorry ma'am."

My heart stops. What do you mean your sorry? You shouldn't be sorry if George is ali- No. He can't be. I lunge forward and run into the room. The loud beeeeep from the heartbeat monitor echos through my mind as I hug George for dear life. He can't be dead. He had such a short life. This is all because of Dream! After what seemed like an eternity, a doctor put his hand on my shoulder. In his sweetest, calmest voice he says,

Doctor: "You should go now, there's nothing we can do."

No one speaks as we exit the room. Silence. The atmosphere is full of sadness. The beeping stops.

Ba-dum

We all look behind us. The heartbeat monitor no longer shows a straight line

Ba-dum

The doctors rush around him again

Ba-dum

George opens his mouth. In a faint whisper, he says;

"Clay"

Thank you so much for 300 reads! Also sorry for not updating yesterday D:

I'm going to update again today hopefully.

Also, I'm not really sure if this chapter flows as well as the others do. The wording may be a bit confusing. Tell me any ideas in my new dead discord server :) *Link in profile description*
