Upon returning to the locker room, Mercy felt an immediate urge to check her bag for any signs of theft. Beomgyu's absence ruled him out as a potential culprit this time. To her surprise, she found her missing shirt neatly placed inside the bag. Confusion set in; she couldn't have left it there, as she distinctly remembered emptying her bag upon returning to the dorms.

The ominous message sent a shiver down Mercy's spine. Her phone nearly slipped from her hands, her breathing quickened, and her heart raced. Clammy hands gripped the device as the surroundings seemed to grow distant.
'Who's that?' Huening Kai's voice interrupted from behind her.
Mercy pressed the phone to her chest, her voice shaky. 'Uhm, just an old classmate.' The lie came out effortlessly, a feeble attempt to conceal the unease that now enveloped her.
