The robin and the wagtail

The robin and the wagtail had a race
On a brisk summer morning down by the stream
A sight to behold in this sweet little place
A beautiful sight like one from a dream

Their wings graced the river
As the birds swiftly flew
Like arrows from a quiver
I smiled and thought of you
