Stars (sonnet)

All I'm saying is my baby's a star,
I know he's close but he feels so far.
I need him to know he's safe in my arms,
So I can keep him away from what harms.
His safety is all that I require.
His hugs are warm and he's like a fire.
His lips are like sugar, they're sweet and soft.
I love him so much, but at what cost?
I'd give him my life, thats how much I care.
For him I would even cut off my hair.
Hes like my rock and my life, my whole world.
I'm like an oyster and he is my pearl.
I don't want to let him go. No. Never.
I want to keep him as mine forever.
